I didn't see a single thing in that article saying that it was starting today. " Bush said that beginning Monday "more than 7 million Americans will receive their rebates electronically." On May 9, millions more would receive their payments by paper check, he said. Roughly 130 million households are expected to get the rebates. "

First of all, it's not "free money". It's a rebate on money you haven't earned yet. Second of all, I still contend that it's not enough to change anyone's life and it's the dumbest idea I've heard come out of Washington in a long time. That being said, I'm not gonna turn down any money someone wants to give me. I plan on putting all of mine in my savings account. I may buy my brother a copy of Mario Kart for the Wii, but the rest will go into savings.

Pay some bills, and maybe, if there's anything left, contribute to my pension.

All of my bills are paid up. I don't owe anything. My paychecks from work cover all of our expenses so we are going to take advantage of this and splurge on a big screen TV.
