From LOP We've been covering the story that TNA Wrestling will be unveiling a new special type of match soon. The company responsible for Ultimate X, King of the Mountain and reverse battle royals will introduce the new stipulation at the company's Slammiversary PPV in May.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that TNA is planning to copy the domed cage used by Mexico's AAA promotion. The concept match will debut on their upcoming Slammiversary PPV. Sadly I don't see why they keep doing this stuff when really the Lethal Lockdown match is the closest thing to a domed cage already. Why are they doing this?

Sounds interesting, but Slammiversary already has King of the Mountain, i reckon they should save it for Bound for Glory since it doesn't have a specialty match.

Seriously, I think they should just keep the cage matches on Lockdown so that they don't overdo it some more.

I can't see the vid at the moment, but is a domed cage anything like the "Lion's Den" Cage match WWF did like twice? (which was unique and highly underrated, imo)

Who had the six-sided ring first - AAA or TNA?.. AAA had it first, but I think that Ultimo Dragon used it first in his T2P promotion in Japan. Don't quote me on that though, but I do know it was either T2P or AAA that had it first.

Actually, AAA is kinda ripping of both TNA and WWE. TNA by having the six sides ring (however, some other promotions have it. WWE by ripping off the elimination chamber.

If I'm not mistaken, AAA has had both the six sided ring and their domed cage long before TNA or WWE had the six sided ring and the EC.

I like the domed cage, I'm all for whoever uses one. Personally I hope that replaces the KOTM, because that match is just stupid.

Nor is it 6 sided man.

Actually, AAA is kinda ripping of both TNA and WWE. TNA by having the six sides ring (however, some other promotions have it. WWE by ripping off the elimination chamber. see you are wrong. TNA is ripping off AAA not AAA ripping off TNA . TNA bought there 6 sixed ring from AAA. also the x-division style was originally created by Mexico & japan not tna.TNA started out with 4 sided ring . TNA used ta 4 sided ring for the first 3 years . TNA first used the 6 sided ring the first night in the impact zone. this shows how much you know about wrestling & it's history . you really don't know your wrestling history at all, homie. i am NWA TNA original & i can tell you that TNA has stole & copy everything they did.TNa has never be totally original & never wants to admit to where they stole idea from like the 6 sided ring. the 6 sided ring was invented in Mexico in 1990's
