I think the problem here is people want responsibility to be held, they want someone to be angry at and it's not that simple. Life is not like the movies, most people do not commit crimes because they are evil and they enjoy it. This is not black and white, Chris Benoit was clearly a sick man, he committed a heinous crime, and it's a tragedy. Should we hate Chris Benoit? I don't think so, I think take pity upon is a better way of looking at it. Here was a disturbed individual who did not recieve the help he so desperately needed, and he sadly killed his family. Am I saying we shouldn't remember what he did to Nancy and Daniel, and act the way things used to be? Not at all, I mean the man did commit a disgusting act, but I feel there is alot of unneccesary hatred and contempt here and it's not going to do anything positive.

Your statement was just powerful. To quote a customer I once had working at a gas station: "Your arrogance is overwelming" So I'm not the only one

Benoit is just a distant memory. I won't pretend he never existed but I just don't think about him. Chris Benoit is the only one to blame for everything. No one told him to become a wrestler and no one told him to commit murder. I have no hatred for someone I don't care about. I didn't know him personally as some claim to. "He dedicated his life to wrestling" "He was a nice guy" How the do we know? Benoit was a character on TV and no Benoit the wrestler and Benoit the person are not the same. Do you think he went to market in his tights head butting people? We, myself included, put celebrities and athletes on a level higher than should be. Sometimes we need a slap of reality and stop making excuses for our "idols". Nothing worse than murder. It takes an insane person to commit murder but does that mean we should forgive someone for snapping? Depends on your way of thinking. If so we should let everyone out of prison who killed. They weren't in "their right mind" when they took some innocent person's life. Right I think Benoit is/was a heartless, selfish bastard for what he did.

I'm a fan of holding people responsible for their own actions. Benoit was responsible for what he did. If he wanted time off, I can't imagine Vince not giving it to him. If he wanted to come back after some time off I can't imagine Vince not letting him.

I'm on the fence about the Benoit thing. Yeah, he was sick, but so are most serial killers, and it doesn't mean that the tag of a killer is excluded. And on the other end, friend of mine committed suicide last year so I know almost first hand how hard people fight their pain.
Suicide is the most touchy thing with me. People blaming all people who commit suicide, saying that they're cowards and things really shits me.

Might as well sue a murderers mother, since they gave birth to a murderer. Suing WWE is pathetic.

Chris Benoit was a very sick man in the head. I suppose its just one of those things in life where you cant really getting into the mind set of someone like that.
The man needed help he didnt get it and he did what he did of his own accord.
