Ok, I've searched and searched but no luck.
Alright here's the actual story:
There was a guy who claimed to be a vampire. He was also a heroin addict. He had people peform rituals with him and all that. Then he gave them "blood" that was filled with heroin (they obviously didn't know it). They believed that they needed blood to stay alive or wahtever, so they actualy went out biting and killing people just for blood. When really, all they needed was heroin all along. Sort of a Charles manson like story.
What I'm asking is...has anyone else heard about this...or have any more info on it. I really want more details as I found it to be very interesting. YES, this was a realy story, I remember hearing about it a few years ago. Any help would be great.
Chase...?

If it is any consolation, while I was not successful in finding the actual news story, this sounds awfully a lot like a scene from the movie Modern Vampires in that Kim Cattral sucks heroin-laced blood from a dealer. In addition, and ironic to your inquisition, Bret Easton Ellis's novel The Informers has vampires despising heroin-laced blood. Additionally, some barely-literate schmuck has torn the idea from Ellis's novel and made it his own. All this from simple research.

While that doesn't help me, I appreciate the time and effort. The first link does sound alot like the story. So apprently, the guy must've learned his tricks from someone else. No longer will I honor him. Thought he was being original.

I don't know why, but this reminds me of that crappy Eddie Murphy movie where he's a vampire...

And that Eddie Murphy movie reminds me of the black Wizard of Oz they did. *shudders*
