Okay, im currently getting this DVD, and i read somwhere that Kendo Kashin's performance as Dragon Solider B is questionable? Could someone elaborate on why he recieved a "DONT COME BACK!" chant? I kinda feel like i shouldnt have picked this up after reading this.

I got the impression people were just shitty that he was the uber-heel of the tournament, and went over Gibson. I think people wanted Gibson vs. Black Tiger in the finals, but NJPW puller a powerplay.

NJPW what? Kashin wasn't with NJPW at the time. He left New Japan in late 2004.

The agency's and New Japan's association ended in late 2005 due to disputes. Kashin returned the AJPW belts back to them in May of 2006 The ROH tournament was in April 05. from Wiki...

He did basic heel stuff. He didn't even wrestle as well as he usually does as Kendo Ka Shin so it really made the crowd angry. At the same time, his wins were uneventful and weren't special so I bought it as well and though it's not the worst thing ever hopefully you only paid $10 or less for it.

Yeah, he wrestled in NJPW for a bit after 2004, but he was a freelancer at the time.

I actually have never really seen any of his good stuff less some stuff he did in PWG but even that was lackluster.

The show itself was very, very good. He just had a few lackluster performances. The biggest problem people had, though, was that the tournament was supposed to happen in order for an American talent to gain an entry in the actual Best of Super Juniors tourney in Japan. But New Japan pulled a power play and used it so Kendo Ka Shin would win the tournament and get in.
The show is good just because of Danielson v. Spanky, Gibson v. Strong and Homicide v. Aries, all of which are outstanding matches. There are also other tournament matches that are good.

That would be All Japan not New Japan and I would say that none of those matches were really great. Ok I guess.

Oh my bad. Got it confused due to Muta. Well the matches weren't great, but I meant in terms of what they gave the crowd. really the only dud was the CM Punk/Colt Cabana match.

I remember around Christmas time when Final Battle 2003 was apart of the $10 sale people were saying that it was a good event, all of the matches were great but the main event was a huge let down.

You remember how the winner of this tournament was supposed to gain an entry to the New Japan tourney that year? I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that Dragon Solider B wasn't even in the New Japan tournament.
