Im a page at my local library. For being in school, putting away books for $8 an hour, that is a very good job for the time being.

Substitute high school teacher. I'm trying to get my masters degree to become a full time social studies teacher. Over the summer I am trying to get a job teaching at a tennis camp for kids. A job is a job, who's REALLY ever happy about having to get up at like 5am and go do something you don't want to do all day. In an ideal world I'd hit the lottery and be able to hang out with my friends all day, but thus far that has not happened. I'm currently hunting for that one job I love doing. I'm kicking myself right now for turning down a job offer a few months ago that I think was a really good one in retrospect. $1 /hr more. 40 hr work week. 8-5 hrs. WTF was I thinking???

I'm a department supervisor for a chain of supermarkets called the Co-operative here in the UK. Love my job.
I love having power, also.

Do you copy/paste that? Umm, no. Why? Just cos these threads come up so often, and you seem to always give a long answer, just thought you may have copy/pasted the whole time

I actually really like my job(s)...
Website Designer At my Monday-Friday job, I'm one of many website designers for the biggest internet marketing company in America, FindLaw.com. I design websites for law firms. Most of my day consists of me doing what I'm doing right now - just 'surfing' the web, posting on message boards, doing what I'd do if I wasn't even at work. They recently put in an awesome break room for us which has free coffee/hot chocolate/etc. for people who are into that kind of thing; two plasma TV's (one is always on ESPN); and they also have a conjoining room which is hooked up to a Nintendo Wii. We actually sit and play Wii at work while getting paid. A few of my co-workers and bosses and I are in a Madden 2008 'franchise' where each of us have a team. It's pretty awesome... About 30% of each day is spent actually working on websites.
Personal Care Assistant On the weekends, I take care of my best friend. He has spinal muscular atrophy and is extremely handicapped. We mostly just sit around, make fun of each other, watch TV, play video games, etc. During football season, just about our entire day consists of us watching football (we have NFL Sunday Ticket). I'm one of the few people in the world that can actually take care of him, due to his extremely unique disease, so the state actually pays me $11.50/hr. to take care of him -- which I would do without pay anyway.
----------
So yeah, I'd say that I really like my jobs. I'd always want to be paid more (no matter how much I made), but I'm pretty happy with my current prediciment.

I work at Kohls, I do truck unload and cashier. Its not the best job, but I like it. Most of the people there are pretty fun to work with so it makes the time fly by.

I work for a ticket broker in the area, one of only three in the state. I take care of sales, purchasing tickets and that sort of thing. Great job for the time being while I'm still in school because my boss is incredibly laid back and I have an incredibly flexible schedule (mostly because everyone who works there is a graduate of the same school I am currently a senior at, so they understand). I'll be finishing up my time there this coming August to head to school in September.

City Employee. I wear many hats at my place of employment. I primarily work for a senior citizens program at my community center. I pick them up from their homes and bring to the center. They eat, play bingo, do exercise, and dance. Then I take them home. While they are having fun, I do center operations. I answer phones, fax stuff, copy stuff, make sure everybody turns in their timecards, pick up paychecks, purchase supplies, go to city hall and other community centers. Pretty much if something needs to get done, they come to me and I get it done.

I work at Subway, which gets me by since I haven't moved out of my moms house yet, it gives me enough money to pay my phone bill and run around comfortably on.
