Anyone else hate when you throw an interception and they do that EA Sports Rewind thing, and they show you the guy who was open and it was the exact guy you tried to throw it to? Whats worse is when you throw a pick, and on your next drive the infamous saying is heard "The last time this guy played, he completed a pass, but to the other team!" I really hate the difficulty of Franchise that I play at. I'm at 692 IQ, and I cant run for shit. I'm next to last in the league in offense, but I'm 12-0 and first in defense. I have 24 picks. I'm thinking about giving myself like 2 games just to pad my stats since I've probably clinched the division/first seed/bye.

You know whats odd is I've only had that Rewind thing come up maybe three times. I played many exhibition games and went through two franchise seasons and I just never see it. I do get annoyed with that "completed to another team haha".
Yeah that Madden IQ thing threw me way off in Franchise mode especially once you hit like 600 and up. My first season with Dallas Romo threw identical numbers to the year before. But the second season it got so ridiculous that I made sure to have at least one "rewind" thing to try to balance out throwing 4 pics every game. What sucks is I really hate using it but it just gets too out of control and its not like you are always making bad reads. What was funny is T.O got league MVP that season and Romo was still only the 3rd best QB in the league.
I even played one game on like All-Pro and I ended up with 6 tds and most of those went to Owens and then I had a scrambled td. So I basically gave up playing Madden because its just too lopsided either way for me to enjoy it. If it wouldn't be for the difficulty being so out of hand it would be one of the best Maddens for me but I can't say that. That's how much I hate the lopsidedness.

I have been pretty good with My IQ. I started a season with the Giants in the mid-600's and played pretty good on both sides but still had close/fun games. But it got up to 720 and I got slammed by the 49ers 42-17. My next game agianst the Steelers it was back at like 680 and I won 24-17, and only threw one Int because I hit "A" too many times trying to snap the ball really fast I guess what I'm trying to get to is that I'm alright with My IQ, as long as I stay below 700. haha

maybe because its more in depth, and your using one person, not a whole team So, what are you tellin me? What should I do? Like the QB will throw and Ill be runnin right in front of the receiver and no matter what I hit, my guy just lets the ball go right over his head or shoulder to the WR. Its getting really frustrating when I have the play snubbed out and can't make the play. when you are the QB, you throw and hand off unless you run the ball yourself

I need tips on making plays on the ball...I cover the receivers fine but when the ball comes my way, if I try to swat it or pick it or w/e my guy just stands there and lets the ball go over his head.

I don't know what system you're on, but for the 360 'A' makes you swat the ball down and 'Y' makes you attempt to catch it.

It might be a problem with timing. You've got to get the timing right. Also, don't try for an INT unless you know you have a clean shot at it.

Yeah, I've had a pass interference call thrown on me once or twice because of that.

I suppose I got lucky, then. I played a full season as a FS for the Seattle Seahawks and I think I only got called for pass interference maybe two or three times. Then again, hardly anything was thrown in my direction.

You mean to tell me pass interference is actually in the game? I played two seasons and a bunch of exhibition games and I can tell you I never had it called on me or the computer. I really began to think it was taken out. What is really frustrating is when it is blatantly obvious that there was interference.
Also hate the lack of ability to tell if a ball is caught out of bounds or not. The ball can clearly be caught out of bounds but if you challenge it means nothing. But on three occasions my catches were caught out of bounds yet it had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to challenge it. Stupid game.

Well, when I switch to a defensive back in any regular game mode I have the timing down right so I try to use the same timing when I play superstar.

Started a superstar mode as a SS and got drafted by the Chargers. I'm doing pretty good, not a whole lot of tackles but I have a few picks and my defense is the best in the league. Just beat the Steelers 19-0

On the topic of pass interference I was playing online on NCAA with a guy. He threw a bomb, and I was too lazy to defend it, so I just hit sticked his receiver and there was no call. I was pretty happy.

There have been so many instances where there should've been one (i.e. tackling a guy out of bounds, pass interference, unnecessary roughness, etc.) but nothing was called.

facemasks happen to often, with that damn tackle where you barrel roll sideways over them while grabbing their cage

Yea I get more face-mask calls than anything. Is there even an unnecessary roughness or late hit call? I know there is for the QB but i've been tackled when I was well out of bounds and i've never seen it get called.
