I miss the good ol days of the late 90's as well. I was watching an older dvd, best of raw I believe it was. Vince was in the ring talking smack and Austins music hits and my god I had forgotten how passionate the fans used to be! The pop was insane, Nowadays the crowd noise is so weak. It's like people have just grown tired of pro wrestling and they are in attendance because there is nothing else to do. Hell, Raw used to get ratings in the 6's and 7's at one point. Now they celebrate when they hit 4's or 5's? I'm not sure how the ratings system works but does anyone know how many people that is that have tuned out? They haven't had a 5.0 rating since 2001. They rarley can get 4's. By next year it will be dripping down to 2.0, it's getting really bad.

But to call him CM Junk?.... I never called him CM Junk. Because he isn't Junk. I'm not a fan - but I never hated him. He's entertaining in the ring, but I don't really like anything else about him. All I'm saying is - to attack someones favorites is pretty pointless. Hardy mark Funny of you to point that out cuz Hardy and Punk > Duece and Domino

Wrestling always was and is great.
You people come on here and bitch and moan 24/7 about everything. Have things spoiled for yourselves and attack wrestlers purely because you have the ability to.
The only reason any one prefers the "good old days", despite whether they're talking about the 70's, 80's or 90's, is because you were younger and enjoyed it more without feeling the need to constantly criticise it or hear other people constantly complaining about it.
The people that are watching now will come on forums in a few years and say that wrestling sucks and they wish Cena was still around.
Its the way Wrestling is. get over it.
I also think that 2003 was WWE's overall best year for me. And yes, i have been watching wrestling longer than that.

Can you blame them? CM Junk was in the match CM JUNK, LOL! I like that, I agree CM Punk is nothing special just because a lot of smarks and bandwagon jumpers wanna suck his d**k every night doesn't mean he should get a huge crowd reaction. Yet you like Carlito

Wrestling Died in 2001, This is just entertainment now.....Sadly its no longer Entertaining And for the Record the "Good Ol Days" Consisted of NWA, WWF, AWA, WCCW The good 'ol days Money, Ratings, and fan wise... 1998-2001. See all you kids say that but how can you feel thats really true? Oh they had sooo many fans, Were they loyal? Whats the point of being a fan if you're not gonna be loyal....You're not really a fan then are you? With the fans come money and ratings. 1980-1995 wrestling stayed steady fans would go to a run down flea market called Dallas Sportatorium and be loyal and faithful to their wrestling. Or sit in a closet every week for 90mins and watch NWA wrestling. Wrestling didnt mean anything from 96-01...It was just a fad that bandwagon jumper fans let die

If it wasn't for bandwagon fans, wrestling wouldn't have been as popular as it was during the late 90s. As much as I enjoyed watching wrestling during the Attitude era, it's not as fun looking back now when you realize that non-wrestling fans made up the majority of the raucous crowds back then. THAT is the reason why pops were so much larger back then, although several wrestlers can still register decent sized ones today in John Cena, the Undertaker and Triple H.

The late 90's had some of the most ridiculous storylines in history. But not only was the late 90's far more entertaining, it had alot better wrestling. And when I say Attitude Era, I am not just talking about WWF I am also talking about WCW and ECW. The wrestling you grew up with was old and no one wanted to see that anymore and needed a change. The attitude era kept you as a fan and brought even more people to watch it. It was crash TV, you didn't know what would happen every week. Great time to be a fan no matter how much you deny it just because it WASNTE TEH NWEA DASYS

Stopped reading when you said Smackdown is "BORING". I can respect opinions, but that doesn't mean I take all of them seriously.

Great time to be a fan no matter how much you deny it just because it WASNTE TEH NWEA DASYS You do realize that the NWA was pretty much gone by the time I was old enough to understand what was going on right? The point is, YOU are fan. You dont work for WWE, you dont work for a cable company and you dont work for an arena. Numbers and stats should not mean anything to you. Also realize that the $40 you pay for tickets now were equal to about $10 back then. Money is gonna be a big difference. I dont know if you realize this but i was 13 years old during the attitude era...The perfect prime age for what a fan was suppose to be. Ive missed very few Raws (or Nitros) since it all started 15 years ago. The problem is someone who didnt grow up in that era cant say that "the era sucked." you dont know, you didnt live through it and the only thing you have to base it off of is A) what you are use to and B) reruns that you already know the results for. You will know more then the next generation, my generation will know more then yours, the 70s generation will know more then mine...its because they've lived through it all. Just remember there is a reason everyone compared wrestling to a soap opera during the attitude/nwo eras
