In CAL you can edit ring attire or entrance attire, but whenever I switch it, it says "Any part that is added or changed will be reflected in both Ring and Entrance Attires" and the stuff I add to entrance attire is added to ring attire...can anyone help me? How do you add stuff JUST to entrance attire? it's like a paper doll for both modes.. say you have a hat but only for enterance use you want.... make sure you ar on edit ring attire then delete it... it will go bye bye.. then switch to eanterance attire the hat will still be there.. and if you wanted it gone all together dlelete it in both. |

The more I play this game the more frustrating I'm finding it to be. I finally managed to kick out of a pin, although it's rare that I do. The only thing that saves me in this game is the taunt that regenerates health. The block/reversal works 1 in 100 times, which makes it (I guess) a little better than been able to reverse everything, but some times the CPU unleashes a punch combo of like 20 hits and I seem defenseless, especially if your on the entrance ramp, felt like a mugging. The CPU seems to have no issue standing and blocking any attack I throw at them however.
I'm finding that, when I think I've mastered how to do something, I'll try it again and it won't work. This mainly concerns getting a weapon from under the ring. It can be a real pain at the best of times with always getting reversed, but when I do manage to avoid it getting blocked I seem to do something else like simply smash their head of the ring apron. I guess it's just the issue with controls been so similar for different functions, but I can literally do it moments after in the identical way and won't get the same result. Same with taunts tbh.
The other issue is the button mashing mini games, for the life of me I cannot hit the buttons fast enough. I had the controller on the floor tapping all 4 face buttons as fast as I could and it hardly put up a fight.
So far, I think this game has it's moments where it's the most fun I've had on a wrestling game for years, but at other times it seems like it was developed with the intention of frustrating the gamer. Any game that allows you to beat down your opponent for 20 minutes and then lose to a clothesline would be pretty frustrating though!
I'll keep practicing!

So, am I the only one finding the controls to the game very easy to learn? I mean, I lost the first match but since then it's been easy going. Plus the pinning system is simple, granted, I've probably destroyed the controller with the constant button mashing.

Is it just me or are achievements glitched? I won an exhibition match with a CAL and got the 100 point "Youre #1" achievement. Nah. The Hall of Fame thing is related to how many matches against the CPU you have done. I did 1 exhibition match with Big Boss Man, then went straight into LK mode with my CAL, and when i won my second match, i became first on the Hall of Fame list, thus getting the trophy. yeah, i finally just got it. still couldn't get the grapple near groggy austin in non-staired corner....was that inside or outside the ring?? Inside. He'll kick him and then do the figure four on/around the post thing he does. THANKYOU FOR THIS! I can't tell you how many times i've took Austin outside thinking that was how to do it, only for him to counter me and then win. That one is the only Relive i don't have a Gold Medal on. I shall get it now! |

Flameboy, I was getting so frustrated with the mini game I think you speak of (during Hogan/Warrior Relive?). I just put the controller down, used my index and middle finger on both hands and alternated the face buttons as fast as possible. IE left middle on Y, left index on X, right middle on B and right index on A. Hope this helps brotha!

I don't mean to piss and moan...but seriously....Shawn Michaels sucks in this game! All these classic matches in Wrestlemania Tour mode, and they put him in his post-Rockers mullet gear? Lame.

I let him get to chain level 3 at the entrance where the WM XV sign is and then when he was on 3, I would just stand in front of him pressing away and triangle(or y for 360)....I mean, in my match, The Rock punched alot, in which case I would start kickin his ass and then stop and hope he does the strong grapple. And it's best to do it up at the entrance so if he does get it, he can't pin you.

They work on SVR but when I select them on this game...silence. Anyone know how to fix that?

It was my very first match. Both of my roomates did the exact same thing and got the acheivement. Like I said, the Hall of Fame which is found in the game modes section, is a list of the winners in Matches you have played. Since you had not done any matches before you're first LK match with your CAL, Your CAL went to the position of Number.1 It's really not that complex. I need help now though, in Royal Rumble (the only trophy i need now to 100% the game) I get down to the final two, but i can never eliminate the guy i'm against. How are you supposed to win the attacker/defender QTE when the guy is hanging by his hands? He always counters me, and then i can't win the QTE when i am hanging so i always lose! Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. |

Well I broke down and got the game and I'm glad I did.
I just played it for a little over an hour, but I'm actually very fond of the gameplay and prefer the controls to SvR alot. The models look great, the arena's look great and I was skeptical about the control's, but the system seems very nice and responsive, I dig it alot.
I'm still a bit pissed about all the missing awesome attires we could have, but I did notice in CAL there are many of them such as Bret Hart's WM12 attire and HBK's Survivor Series 97 attire so I just plan on making some alternate HBK's and Bret's in CAL.
