www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/article1142300.eceI've gotta be honest, the past couple years Big Kev has slowly been earning my respect, especially with his ability to laugh at himself for his bad wrestling. It looks like he's got some business sense nowadays. This interviewed gained him some standing in my opinion. I think his bash at SmackDown was uncalled for however, especially with the size of the plank in TNA's eye.

"Then I think we need to bring the X Division back up and make it more of a centrepiece. Maybe every three PPVs, the X Division should be the main event.
We need to have more of those matches AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels do, because they match that in the WWE. They don’t have the ability and they don’t have the athletes."
I think we all want that Big Kev, I think we all want that.

Good read. I agree with him on the fact the X division needs to be focused on again. Afterall, that's a major part in what got them to Spike in the first place.

Now even big Kev is saying it, and how long have we been saying it? The ONLY reason I used to watch TNA was because I was channel surfing one day and came upon on X-division match. I had stopped watching wrestling for 5 years and the BOOM I was hooked again. I can't stand what they've done to this division. It's a shame. I'm all for character development, but not at the expense of what used to be really exciting matches.

There can be a healthy balance of the two, TNA just isn't trying to find that balance. Like I, and many others keep saying, as long as those running TNA refuse to believe that there are any problems, nothing will change.

No; it wasn't as much of the X division as it was just another option of wrestling other than just the WWE! I myself think if they got rid of the X division; they'd get better ratings.

First; that slogan isnt meaning just the x-division. It also means its another choice for wrestling. Second; that isnt their slogan anymore. It's Cross the Line!

That they are some thing fresh and different. Even though Wrestling Society-X in its short lived life off the shelf, offered more of a change in who was showcased as the stars of the company. I could probably word this better, but think of it like Jimmy Wayne Yang being ultra popular but it takes WWE's heirarchy to have him win and make him credible. Fact is, WWE creates a new main eventer and or world champion in at least a 6 month frame. Be it on ECW, Smackdown or Raw. You tell me how many new main eventers TNA has produced as World Champion. (Here's a hint, it's less than 4, but more than 2.)

Second of all, I guarantee that AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe could draw PPV buys if they just had the right promotion.

Because they've all been main-eventers and have all either had a chance at the Title, or have won it. A.J. has won it, and Joe has it now, and hello; him having the belt has not helped ratings at all!!
