I lost interest in Tony Hawk after Pro Skater 3. Hopefully they can bring some shine back to the series.

Basically everything after THUG 1 sucked. So they do need to start from scratch.

I found Proving Ground way better than Project 8, but if youve ever played P8, you know that isnt saying much.

I found Proving Ground way better than Project 8, but if youve ever played P8, you know that isnt saying much. I actually found P8 not THAT horrible. Like it was below expectations and bad compared to other TH games, but I still found enjoyment out of it. My favorite TH game was THPS4. Even though I only have a PS2, if I were them, for the next game I would just rehash the PS2 & PSP versions, and then totally make a new engine for 360 & PS3. |

Basically everything after THUG 1 sucked. So they do need to start from scratch. Agreed, my THUG disc nearly melted because of playing it so much, everything after it was a disappointment. Hopefully the series gets rebooted and we can get something killer next year. |

TBH i couldnt really get into Skate, saying that I've only played it once round a friends house and he didnt bther telling me what the controls were. Maybe over time i could get used to it, I've played every game in the Tony Hawk franchise and it does seem to be getting a little stale with some cheap gimmick tacked on every year, maybe a break will do them good and allow them to come back better than ever.

I like Skate and all but it's made by EA so either the next one or 3rd one will just be a rehash of the previous with some new gimmick mode that people will hardly use... I mean it is EA.

The Proving Ground storyline was good. I liked the whole different aspects of like Hardcore skater, or like you can can create combo lines and such.
But a video game is a video game.
