ok, we had an animated clone wars on cartoon network, then we get Revnge of the Sith as a follow up...now after an animated series and the end of the Clone wars...we get Another animated Clone wars...WTF??? Why not use this movie to show the life of Luke and Leia growing up? Why rehash another cartoon, ok CGI this time, but anyway, its the same thing practically? I dont know, I'm sure it will be more indepth I just think it is untimely and coulda focused on a different time period more chronologically accurate.

Just an FYI, the movie is a lead in to the new Clone Wars TV series that's more than just micro shorts, and there is a live action series that's in the works too.
And why the hell would we need a story of Luke and Leia growing up? Luke lives on a farm who kills rats and buys power converters for entertainment. Leia might be the only one with any sort of interesting story since she's a princess.

I know what the fruk the the story's about I'm asking why now? Why after they already did a mini series on cartoon network and after ROTS...maybe they think there'll be more action. And why not Leia and Luke growing up? hmmmm. Leia being a senator, Luke battling on tatoine, Vader training, hunting down the other jedi...makes sense to me, where have you been? point is, this shyt woulda made more sense if done before Sith...the timing is dumb

Well I cant answer why now, but Heros right a story of Luke and Leia growing up would piontless and boring and Luke did no "battling" on Tatoine. Now a series on Vader would be sweet.

It's all filler until the live action series with everyone's favorite bounty hunter starts anyway.

I cant wait for it, at first I didnt know what to expect. Ditto. Watching the trailer makes it feel like they're taking the animated series and adding a bit of "real life" into it. By real life I mean it looks like they're mimicking the way that the live-action movies were filmed. I will say I was a bit shocked seeing the WB logo instead of 20th Century Fox. That saddens my heart

Do you think they have made the change only for this film because it is Animated? You see the WB logo not because the film is animated but because the WB won the rights to distribute the movie and to air the tv episodes. The Cartoon Network and TNN are both owned by WB and that is where the tv episodes will air. Also, even though we know the TV show will not have Vader in it, if George Lucas ever decided to create a show with nothing but Vader hunting down the remaining Jedi, well that would literally be a license to print money. That would be the biggest thing EVER.

IMO, I think Clone Wars is going to be amazing. Also, they are making a live action and it will most likely be about what happens in the expanded universe after Revenge of the Sith.

I will go see the film, but only because it is based on the star wars saga. I hoped that after ROTS, the prequel trilogy and it's contents could be closed. I would rather have Lucas start working on films/TV series' on the events that take place after ROTJ, and throughout the EU before expanding the clone wars. However, this still could do a decent job bridging the events of ROTS and ANH. I doubt it, because it is an animated film. As much as i enjoyed the clone wars TV series, i couldn't take it too seriously because of the fact that it's animated. The time period between ROTS and ANH should be darker, the star wars galaxy is a very sinister place in that time. Cartoons tend to make things less serious, and often contain a lot of unnescassary comic relief.

Has George Lucas ever shead any light on making a 2nd sequel trilogy, about after ROTJ?
