Great band, but suffer terribly from AC/DC syndrome. Fill us in, for those that aren't sure what AC/DC syndrome is. Never even attempting to change their style, every album pretty much sounds the same.

One of my all time favorite bands. Bad Religion is one of the only bands that has a right to call themselves punk. So, please tell me what, necessarily, are the qualifications for a band to have the right to call themselves punk? Last I checked it was that they played punk music. Sure there are a lot of bands out there that are absolute garbage, but like it or not some of them technically are, dare I say it, 'punk'. Now, for these bands out there that are awful, you don't have to listen to them, you don't have to acknowledge their existence, but to say a band isn't something that, whether or not you like it, they are is simply just ignorant. I don't necessarily mean to go off on you, as your comment was far from anything bad, but that's more or less something that I needed to get off of my chest. And to be honest it's the same with just about every genre of music.

But I totally agree with you. It's just that I hate when Pop/Punk bands like Green Day and Sum 41 call themselves punk. It's not fair to bands like Bad Religion, The Ducky Boys, NoFX ect. who have been working in the business for years just trying to make a living. Once again I'm sorry if I offended you.

If you don't consider Green Day pop-punk, god knows what you call NOFX. NOFX is about as pop-punk as it can get. It doesn't mean they are bad band, it's just true. I love NOFX, but I know they are very pop. Same with Rancid/Tim Armstrong/Op.Ivy.
Bad Religion put out what I consider to be one of the all time great punk songs, "Were Only Gonna Die." Other than that, I love alot of their stuff, but sometimes it wears off. "I Want to Conquer the World," is one of my favorite songs.
I also give Brett Gurewitz all the credit in the world for starting Epitaph and being such a great producer.

Greg Graffin already accepted the award at Harvard. I was there. He played an acoustic set, and it was magnificent.
hartbreakkid!: The Ducky Boys aren't working their asses off. They play a show once every few months or so for a special occasion. Mark is pretty heavily wound up in his new band.
Samamidon: Do yourself and listen to the first album back to back with the most recent, then sit down, and be quiet. If you're still not convinced, seek out a copy of "Into The Unknown", and see what happens when Bad Religion really tries to change their sound. Some things, believe it or not, are better left untouched.
Mr. Brett is a great producer right up until it comes time to get a sound level on the snare.

I would have given anything to be there for that. And Im sure it was magnificant. I mean, it was Greg Graffin!

I met his dad, but not him.

Nah, dude, you didn't offend me, and even if you did--who cares? You're more than allowed to speak your mind. But I understood what you meant. I was just commenting on a lot of other opinions that I see from time to time.

Hopeless Housewife rules.
Greg Graffin's solo album "American Liason" is awesome too. i could listen to Opinion forever. "Cold as the Clay" is good too. really folky. i like how it's backed by the Weakerthans...anyone else like The Weakerthans?

I liked "CatC", but I was hoping for another introspective album. Here's. hoping for "American Lesion II"

Most people label Blink 182, Simple Plan, early Good Charlotte, and Sum 41 pop punk. Now ask Fat Mike and Lars if they call their music pop punk still, they won't due to possibly being put in the same group as Sum 41 or whoever.
