Im a music nut. All there is to it. You see me on the street, I'll have my MP3 going. When I'm on the PC, Im always on Project Playlist or Windows Media Player. So whenever someone recommends a new band to me, naturally I am interested as to the music they make. Well recently I was given the name of a new band called Bad Religion. Now, to me, the name seemed cliche and I was expecting the typical emo screamo band complaining about about how they wished their 'fame' would go away. However I was surprised, their music was rather interesting. They made solid points and give strong opinions and meaning in their songs. Plus, their harmony is rather good. A song of theirs I have been listening to, Let Them Eat War, is a great song musically, and has a strong message about Bush and the war. (I know not everyone feels the same way about the war, but it is my opinion. ;D ) Another thing I find interesting is that the lead singer, Greg Graffin, has a Ph.D in Life Sciences and teaches at UCLA. And he has also won the Harvard Secular Society's "Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism" and is scheduled to accept this prestigous award sometime this Summer. I doubt with the age of the band that they will ever make it any bigger than they are now, but still. Has anyone else heard of them/like them?

Uh, new band? They've been around longer than I've been alive. But they are awesome.

By new band I mean bands I have never heard of. Heck, if it were not for Guitar Hero II, I'd still not know who the **** Nirvana is.

I will say that Bad Religion has always impressed me though I really don't listen to their stuff very often.

One of my all time favorite bands. Bad Religion is one of the only bands that has a right to call themselves punk.

Great band, but suffer terribly from AC/DC syndrome.

Great band, but suffer terribly from AC/DC syndrome. Fill us in, for those that aren't sure what AC/DC syndrome is.

my quote refers to the time wf member hilton replied to a thread about suicidal tendencies and their song "institutionalized" asking if it's a senses fail song because he heard their awful cover on some video game
