Who cares if it was scripted?
Joe brought it to life.
And even if it was, those were definitely Joe's real thoughts that he spoke about tons of times in interviews.

hopefully the broad in the front row figures it out and fixes this shit... or that she just outright fires joe and has the bookers continue to bury the x division guys, so i dont have to waste time watching it anymore. i kinda like christian, angle and booker... dont even mind them bringing them in... but nash, sting, the steiners, hall, the dudleys, rikishi... they ran their course 10 years ago when the nwo became stale/when they left ecw/when the headshrinkers disbanded, etc.. a gimmick only goes so far, you need to be able to work in the ring a little bit.

From what I read, TNA gave Joe the live microphone to discuss his grievances against TNA, Scott Hall, etc. What was said in the promo was not scripted but TNA basically knew what Joe was going to say. Apparently the entire locker room stood up and agreed with the stuff Joe was saying. Some see it as a wake up call for TNA to stop bringing in stars no one cares about and make stars with the wrestlers who have been there since the beginning.

I was informed by a wrestler on the TNA roster who cut a promo tonight during the show that Joe was told what to say during his promo but went above and beyond what he was supposed to say. Dixie is pissed about it.

Yea Daniels would have been awesome,Eric Young kinda waters it down and makes it less meaningful since it's hard to take him seriously i agree

I applaud Joe for saying what he said, even if it did upset Dixie Carter and the rest of TNA. Joe spoke the truth and said what needed to be said as that is what the true fans have been saying about TNA for the last several years.

I hope TNA gets the idea of Original TNA stars vs Pre-TNA Stars. Thatd be amazing. Yeah. Cuz that doesnt sound like some rehased WCW storyline. *Note the sarcasm.*

I just got back from the show, and my favorite part of the shoot was when he told Dixie to fire him. She was shaking her head the entire time, and seemed more confused than anything.
And for anyone hating on Eric Young, he worked better than anyone else in that entire match. Sure, he's not main event material, but he tried. He had his spotlight and I think he did a great job with it.

Id enjoy that "shoot" if he didnt claim himself to be the best pro wrestler in the world. That alone is a work. And Eric Young was a fine choice. Hes a solid wrestler with loads of personality and hes over as , but will always be held down. I think it was a great choice.

It's a work. Look at how Joe described himself, MCMG, and Lethal. Plus they've been trying to shove Young down our throats for 2 years now, so they knew they were going to put him in the match. There were at least 5 others to pick that would have been better than Young. It's a work. Like I said in the other thread, if Joe gets fired and we see him on RAW tomorrow, then I'll take back what I said. Otherwise this whole thing is a work. You can't shoot on a live ppv about "superstars" and be anything less than fired.

I believe that Eric Young and Abyss were the best choices. The whole point of Joe's promo was that TNA is bringing in old, washed up stars and pushing them while those who have been TNA diehards and bust their ass for the company are in the lower-midcard. Eric Young was the perfect choice. If he was bitching about Shelley, Sabin, Lethal...... Why wouldn't he pick one of them? Read the damn transcript. He praises MCMGs and Lethal..
