Sunderland have failed with a £4m bid for Man Utd midfielder Darren Fletcher and may increase their offer to £5m. (News of the World) If they do get Fletcher I might be alittle bit of a Sunderland fan I think

Why?
I doubt Fergie would sell him. I hope he doesn't anyway.

By alittle bit of a fan i mean id like to seem them do well since they'd have a few Scottish players in their teams. I like to see the Scottish players do well in England. If Fletcher did stay at United it wouldnt be that bad but I wish that he would get more games would help him improve which would be better for Scotland.

Juventus are set to make an offer for Van Persie. Would be a well good move that tbh. Oleguer to Ajax too.

Sunderland have signed Teemu Tainio (says so on our website) and Sky Sports Sources are saying so has Chimbonda.

Kaboul is heading you're way aswell I've heard. Malbranque may not go, but he may yet.
So Keano, where do you see Sunderland going this year?
I could see them finishing 12th, maybe even 10th if they have a great season.

I can see us finishing maybe 10th or 9th. I think with the signing of Chimbonda and maybe Kaboul that will bolster & streghen our defence. But what we need is a good striker (no way is Murphy, Stokes & Chopra good enough) and especially with Kenwyne Jones looking to be out till 2009. I hope someone like Mladen Petric from Dortmund.

Jones is a massive blow to them. What kind of cash do you think Keane has left?
AJ(Andy Johnson) looks like he's on the market, so if the cash was there, he'd be a good signing.

Keano was reported to have had £50m but he rubbished those rumours, with those 4 Spurs players costing a whopping £23m, (I personally think Roy has got £50m) that would give him another £25m, I would buy 2 top class strikers & maybe 1 more defender with that money.

Andy Johnson should go to Sunderland. Gudjohnsen would be a decent buy aswell. They should go and get Crespo or someone on a free too.

Sunderland gets a prediction of 18th from me behind Stoke and Hull
I doubt Crespo would join Sunderland.
Annoys me Liverpool havnet made any big transfers (lets not have the dossena and degen talk again, adding upto 8Million does NOT make them big transfers for the top 4). I personally dont see the point of Barry, Mascherano and Gerrard are better than him, Lucas isn't to bad and is still young while if we keep Xabi he's probably as good as him atleast. Meanwhile Crouch > Keane IMO but since Crouch wanted out and Benitez has reallised he cant get Villa its like he's just looking for a striker who no im not saying Keane is a bad player but a... mediocre striker. Not someone to play with Torres IMO
So basically so far I'm very unhappy with Liverpool's dealings in the transfer market

Crespo & Torres could make a good connection, Rafa should take a crack it Crespo, I wouldn't mind seeing him link up with Torres aswell as Kuyt & Babel.

TBH Rafa should play Babel upfront more.

Rafa signed another body, Ngog.
Villa are interested in taking Kaboul if he doesn't want to join Sunderland.
Gutting as it is, as I think it's bad for the league as a whole to lose this player, Sulley Muntari is joining Jose at Inter Milan for around £13 million.
And Hull are close to signing Anthony Gardner.

He is touted as having the potential to be one of the finest young french strikers of his generation. and at the opposite end of good strikers,Hearts have Reggina striker Mike Tullberg on trial......

I know I've heard but, how many players have Liverpool bought with 'potential' under Rafa's reign?
He buys way too many players for his own good. Not that I care, it's just funny.

I saw Ngog play last Season at the Emirates Cup, pretty sure he scored against Valencia there. Was a pretty good player, although his stats are poor. Mind you, PSG were big time poor last year too.
