ugh i'll just c+p my given thing from another forum
I really think arsenal could build up one of the best back "5" in the PL is we put the wheels in motion and signed given.
Clichy and Sagna are ever improving, If gallas leaves and toure stays that means toure can get down to playing where he plays best with a bigger center back in djourou.
I would pretty much cry with joy if given signed with us mainly for the irish factor and i know how strong he really is. But saying that almunia has been putting in alot of good performances for us and would seem rather selfish to cut him out of the picture now.

Man Utd spent 16 or so Million on those 2 youngsters?
The fact that they spend that much on players who are unproven tells yopu that Ferguson is no Wenger in terms of finding cheap talent. I no benitez also fails at that bu come on £16M+ ?

Granted that Ljajic is 17 and he is staying with Belgrade for another year. However, Tosic is 21 and is going straight in the first team and is a serbian international, whereas Wenger gets unproven youngsters with little or no expreience and just stick them in the reserve squad or the subs bench for a few years

The prices paper's print are never right. It'll probably be up to £16.3 million depending on clauses.
Anyway, you're talking bollocks lfc. Lately he's got Rafeal, Fabio and Possesbon for absolute peanuts and the crop of youth that you'll be seeing in the next couple of years is shithot compared to what's been coming through.

Ok when Fabio and Possebon play like 30+ games in a season they'll be good signings. The fact is they - like Liverpool spend money on accomplished players, Nani Ronaldo etc were not bought for like the 2.8M Rafael cost so when Rafael, Fabio and Possebon become fully fledged regulars and play well I'll call them good deals for Man Utd.

Benayoun and Vorinin were both established when signed, did I say they were good? I was saying Benitez buying only accomplished players (or practically only) is a bad thing idiot.

No, what you're saying is that United sign crap players and Liverpool don't. For a club like United, price isn't an object unlike cash-strapped Liverpool.

I don't see were I said in any way United sign crap players and Liverpool don't... ofcourse Liverpool sign crap players... Bellamy, Nunez, the list goes on. The fact that money isn't an object for Man United says that they do buy the league, if Ferguson wants a player he gets the player £30M for Berbatov? he's just not worth that yet you pay it because Ferguson thinks he could work at United Liverpool have never spent £30M on a player and that's why we haven't won the league for so many years, for Man Utd and in recent years Chelsea money hasn't been an object hence Liverpool are left behind. Arsenal winning a few years back was an exception to the rule but after that Chelsea got rich.

United actually earned their money through success though unlike Chelsea. I didn't say they didn't but we all know it wasn't from winning nothing for 2 years (the 2 years Chelsea won the league) Oh and if United won like the league cup or whatever that year don't give me that
