According to the Mayan calendar, our planet will undergo devastating changis, possibly an Apocalypse. Are you worried, do you believe this will take place?
As of right now, i'm not worried about the world ending in 2012. It's just too soon an expiration date for me to believe. I could see Earth ending in a few hundred years, but four years from now, i don't plan on the human race dying out. Recent events could be interpreted as signs of the apocalypse, hurricane katrina, india's tsunami a few years back, china's recent earthquake. These events aren't enough to convince me of a pending apocalypse, though.
What about you, are you expecting the world to end in 2012?

No. It's the end of that version of the calendar, not the world. This isn't the first calendar that's been done.

Y2K was supposed to be the end of the world. Nothing  ing happened. This doesn't mean shit, either. If the world's going to end, then no one's going to know anything about it. It's just going to happen, and we're all going to be screwed. |

Well think of it this way..maybe the Mayans were so smart they realized they weren't going to live all the way to 2012, or got bored making the calender. That's what I think of it.

I do not see the end of the world happening in my lifetime... The World will not come to an end until the Sun asplodes... and even then, Earth will just kinda drift through space as a giant ball of land and ice... The Human race will have killed themselves off long before that possibly due to a Nuclear Holocaust...

It's actually December 22, 2012 and I hope it happens, I've been planning for it and had it posted on my wall since 1997.
*edit* to clearify....the last day of the actual calender is the 21st....the "events" will occur on the 22nd
