- Paul Heyman has a new column up on the Sun UK website where he talks about five talents he feels are underrated and underutilized in pro-wrestling. #2 is the entire TNA roster.
"No long term concepts + bad television writing + zero marketing strategy = hard working talents whose efforts are wasted on a show that has not grown the audience whatsoever despite the tens of millions of dollars sunken into it."

Yep, we have a winner.
This is why I don't watch TNA. I've managed to trauma-block most of the Russoriffic Era of WCW, I'm not interested in any unwanted flashbacks.

Lately, I feel like I'd rather see some of these guys in WWE...can wwe make a foutrth brand? Shhh... don't give the WWE ideas, haha. I totallt agree with Heyman on this one. Theres entirely too many talents being wasted and while they are getting time on iMPACT!, it means nothing. When your 2 best matches on TV in one week is a pointless X-Divison match and a Knockouts match, theres something that needs to be seen. Sabin and Shelley (wether a team or not) are 2 of the best talents in TNA today and are completely underutilized. Shelley doesn't want to blade, it's not the end of the world. He's willing to take bumps and execute moves that are much more appealing that blood. Petey is a damn joke in TNA right now. Theres no reason Petey can't be the "Canadian Destroyer" again and be managed by Scott D'Amore. TNA's main problems are gimmicks and not pushing the talent that help make your company known and are the future of your company. - Triple S

" Theres no reason Petey can't be the "Canadian Destroyer" again and be managed by Scott D'Amore." D'Amore doesn't want to be on screen and would rather work backstage frm what I've read

Fine, no D'Amore... but Petey by himself as the Canadian Destroyer would be better than "how close can we make Petey look like a smaller Scott Steiner?" It's a joke, but at least Petey still looks the same in his wrestling ability.
It's just a shame when you look at modern TNA compared to 2004-2005 TNA:
Petey and AJ Styles were 2 stars of the X-Divison, putting on tremendous matches that were burned into TNA's viewers' minds nation wide. Now Styles has become a comedic relief act (for now) and Petey too. AJ will most likey get pushed back in the main event scene (hopefully) and rightfully so. Why can't Petey get a serious gimmick back. A gimmick that never got "stale" or anything, because he worked the gimmick so well... the "Canadian Destroyer".
Same goes with Daniels. Yes, it was his idea to do the Curry Man gimmick and yes it's totally over with the fans, which is why I partially don't blame TNA for keeping the gimmick. But even if he wants to put over talent, he should be used to the best of his abilities. Daniels, Styles, Angle, Joe, Sabin, Shelley, Petey... these guys could help bring TNA into the spotlight as the "alternative" that it once was. Now it's the same thing as the WWE and WCW, just not as well known.

I know I've stood up before and defended TNA but like I've said when they're good, I'll say it, when they're bad, I'll say that too. Right now, TNA needs to find a better direction. The World title scene is convuluted as hell. There's more emphasis on women than Joe, and the Kurt/Aj/Karne love fest is way long overdone. Not to mention they Dumb idea turned Booker T heel. And i know I've defended TNA as wll on their use of past WWE gimmicks but now I'll say this...it's getting old. I'm fine with Machismo and SB, but now a marriage, then teasing King Booker...super heroes and freaks and boring as hell Joe...it's just getting rough to watch again lately.

I really want to like watching TNA again but I just can't. Thank god for DVR, I probably watch 20 minutes of the show total every week, lol.
