LOVE the Steamboat. Awesome new original head choice. Bischoff+Mavia head? Theres nothing absolutely mindblowing about the stings though.

I have a Sting in the works using the Buddy head too...haha...we think alike. I like Steamboat, he's a difficult likeness to capture.

I have a Sting in the works using the Buddy head too...haha...we think alike. I like Steamboat, he's a difficult likeness to capture. If you transplant the malenko face on buddy head i belive it would be the perfect sting head. |

Stings are quick and simple and well done. I still think you should have sculpted the pads on the thighs. Just that teeny extra seller on ebay. Or... maybe painted the pads on with different shading of black, flat, gloss, I don't know.
Steamboat looks great. He does have a very unique head. The bischoff maivia combo works well. The only thing that needs to be perfected are the eyes. I think if you take a teeny bit of sculpey and patch it over the eyes. make little divets with a sculpting tool, you could make the eyes look asian easily. That's all I did on my hatton, his eyes almost have an asian look to them.

i was going to do some shading on the thighs but forgot about it before i took the pics.and thanks for the tips on steamboats head

Not bad, The Steamboat head works to an extent, not sure if I like it that much. The cheeks might be too chubby and the eye brows throw it off a little, I think. The Stings look well..

I like the Steamboat head -- very creative. I've never seen a custom that really had a convincing head choice for him, but this works pretty well. Why do people always use that torso for him, though? Steamboat was lean, but pretty well-muscled, so I think that the Cena/Orton torso would work for him. Anyway, I'm really digging the Steamboat.
The TNA Sting looks good, but I don't see the attraction of the Buddy head on the "crow" Sting. It doesn't look more like Sting than other typically used heads (except for the Santana ones), and I don't really think of short hair on "crow" Sting (though I think he had shorter hair at some point while wearing that outfit).

Nice idea for the steamboat head, something different it looks really good and your painting on all three customs is sooo smooth and really well done!
The facepaint on the Red Sting is great, flawless and really well done! whos head is that?
Your black sting is also awsome liking the idea of the trenchcoat with the t shirt underneath.

Steamboat= Looks good, The head is one of the better heads "designed" for ricky. I think the eyes are what sets it back (not sure but maybe tajiri style eyes would make it better?)..
Red Sting= Looks good. Nice even & smooth painting, my favorite of the 3..
Crow Sting= I'm not digging the short hair version but it's rarely seen in the crow version, Personally I think it looks more like the imposter NWO Sting (that's who I would consider it if it was me), I'm not liking the scorpion printout on the chest (I don't blame you for using a printout for the scorpion but you should have atleast used a decal and then painted over it so it all blends together smoothly). Overall still a decent figure.......

The Steamboat head is unique, good to see something original, but I think the haircut just looks too small for the huge face. Also, I can't believe nobody has mentioned the mis-matched arms. I'd like to think Steamboat didn't do twice as many reps with his right arm.
