I find it amusing that Anthony Kiedis played a hardcore surfer in "Point Break" but just now is learning to surf.
I hope the RHCP learn some new songs during this hiatus. That same one they keep playing on every track of their last 2 albums was getting old.

If there was ever a band that I had to absolutely turn off while listening to the radio, it was the Chili Peppers. I will admit, I don't mind Dani California, but other than that, "meh" pretty much sums them up in my opinion. I'd hate to hear what you leave on, on your radio. I mean, seriously, you don't like RHCP, yet i'd hate to hear what you do like. RHCP may have alot of songs that are similar, but you can't deny their impact, credibility, and talent. Almost every 'new' band in rock, any type of rock, has been influenced by RHCP in some way, id say. Not only that, they are one of the only bands who can pull off the "rap-rock" formula and make it sound actually music by musicians and not some kids in their basement. Also, the one reason I cant understand whats with all the hate.....name ONE mainstream bass player, who can come even close to Flea. Frusciante, after getting off dope, is still an amazing guitarist, and Chad is an awesome drummer. Hate all RHCP you want, but you can't deny, that without them, popular music as we know it would be greatly different. The "indy music scene" would be half of what it is, without them.

Thank god its just for a year, by far my favorite band of all time. I missed their last show here in michigan in Grand Rapids. Sucks, It was on Kiedis's birthday, in his home town, but I cant wait for them to come back with another CD.
