While I enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down, I found Bret to be putting himself over consistently in the Federation. While there's no denying he was great, he'd just say he was so much better than so-and-so or carried so-and-so all the time. Modesty doesn't seem to be one of his traits.
Still, it's a fantastic read. I'll take Foley's Have a Nice Day over all, though.

Finished it up two months ago, as vandutch said it gets worse as it goes on. once he gets to wcw it seems kind of rushed compared to his stories about the wwf.

I bought the book from Ringside Collectibles back in November and read it fairly quickly. It was a really good read and hard to put down. His book might be my favorite autobiography from a wrestler that I have read thus far. What I liked about Bret's book is that, after reading HBK's book a few years ago, I wanted to read Bret's side of the story from his tenure in the WWF since he has always had a better reputation from the fans. He also doesn't hold back about anything and goes into detail about how Owen's death split the Hart family up, as well as how big of a prick Dynamite Kid was in real life.
I'd highly recommend reading it not only to Bret Hart fans, but wrestling fans in general.

It was a very good read and I'm glad Bret didn't hold back on letting his feelings be known about certain guys in the business.

I ordered it off Ringside and recieved it a couple weeks ago, but I haven't been able to start it yet because I have to concentrate on reading Hamlet for English class. ![>:(](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/angry.gif)

I thought Bret came off as a little bitter in the book. He was also more than a little egotistical I thought. I found it very, very weird how he would address his father and mother by their first names. Bret Hart was always the biggest Bret Hart mark on the planet. He and Shawn Michaels have two of the biggest egos i've ever seen on someone.

Also you'll notice in Brets book that everytime there was an instance of a conversation he had with someone (ex. Owen, bulldog, Hennig, etc) they are all people dead who can't deny the claims he made. He said bulldog was so messed up during there SS match that he carried him through the whole thing. I loved Bret as a wrestler but i rolled my eyes more times than i could count while reading his book.

just got this off TEST myspace profile under "books"
Bret Harts book about his rel life in the cartoon world of wrestling...great read, if you want to know what really goes on behind the scenes. Trust me it will shock you but the sad thing it's the truth every word of it, maybe that's why it's not on the WWE's top reads. Another great book is I Have the Secret, a real positive look at channeling positive energy

If you watch "Wrestling With Shadows," he calls them by their first name, rather then "mom" and "dad," which is I guess normal for quite a few families. Great book by the way, I finished it up really quick and just loved it. I'm a huge Bret Hart fan and was not dissapointed at all with the book. I know a pair of twins who were raised to call thier paerents by there first names. And Im really looking forward to this book as well.
