If anyone cares to elaborate as to what you think is the appeal of Boris in the CS Line, and why he is a better fit than Rodz, Kowalski, etc., please feel free. Also, here is a question. Do you think there is anyway, other than the figure being poorly made, that Boris warms shelves? I think a Boris Zhukov figure would do very well he was a pretty solid in ring performer and one heck of a funny guy on the mic so I'd definatly pick one up. I think Zhukov would have more name recognition then Johnny Rodz and a lot more people have probably seen Boris wrestle then have Killer Kowalski. Let's not forget not only would people remember Boris as one half of the Bolsheviks but also as a part of Gen. Adnan Al-Kassie's army in the AWA in the mid-80's. So I'd very much be happy with a Boris Zhukov figure, either as half of the Bolsheviks or with the warpaint and black attire from when he was challangine Nick Bockwinkle for the AWA Title. I don't think Boris would would warm shelves as much as Tank Abbott does. Nuff said.

I'd prefer Ivan Koloff, Boris didn't exactly do a whole lot in the industry. I believe Ivan is already signed. As a completionist collector I think Boris is a prime candidate for a CS figure. There have been lesser deserving figures made and I think it is not over the top to have him as a 1/2 case figure. And I think he will sell well at 1/2 case. I don't think Jakks has had too many 1/2 case shelf-warmers. If he comes with good accessories (i.e. a USSR jacket ala Volkolf's CS 3-pack, a fur hat, and hopefully a flag) I see him selling pretty well tbh. Plus having Boris will complete the Bolsheviks' tag-team which played a significant part in WWF history.

Look man, I know it's obvious you really want a Boris figure, and I would like him too, but please don't even dare suggest that he is a better fit than Kowalski or Rodz, after what they did for the business in ratio to Boris Zhukov, lol. Compared to them and in terms of their influence on the business and Hall of Fame stature etc., Boris doesn't even come close. Sorry to put a crimp in your argument, but it's true, lol. I want him in the line, but to expect anyone to say he is a "better fit" than these other guys is ludicrous; that's all I'm saying, lol.

Are we at a point where we are picking random names of crappy former wrestlers who had no impact out of a hat, and then claiming we "need" these wrestlers who are hardly classics? I give it a week before someone makes a thread about a petition for Zhukov.

Yeah, he should be in there. But Jakks should also focus on releasing tag teams and talent/manager in the exclusive 2 pack series and concentrate on singles wrestlers in the common line. As much as I love the Road Warriors e.g. but the space they take in an upcoming series should better be for singles talent that wasn´t released yet.
Or the Lawler/Kaufman 2 pack e.g. It´s good, no doubt, but we already had a Lawler and Kaufman is announced for another CS series. Why? Jakks should better be pushing the talent we have no figure of and which is signed for ages!

Rodz & Killer are a MUCH better fit for the HoF. But as far as the CS line, the majority of collectors have seen and know who Boris is far more than there are those who know of Killer or Rodz b/c Boris was on TV and major PPV's for 3 plus years. Nobody is insulting Killer or Rodz by saying that they won't sell as well as Boris. The proof is the the dozens of Rodz & Killer figures that warm the shelves for months and months.

I give it a week before someone makes a thread about a petition for Zhukov. I don't think Zhukov is a random name. He definately isn't an A-level talent but I would say he is a solid B to C-level. I mean Jakks has signed and made into figures less deserving "classics" i.e. Tank Abbott, John freakin' Cena, to name a few. All I'm saying is that while Boris is no Macho Man or even a Killer Kowalski, his teaming with Volkolf as the Bolsheviks' played a part in WWF history. Also for the "old time" fans and the completionist collector (like me), I don't think having the Bolsheviks as another classic tag-team to go along with the Powers of Pain, Killer Bees, Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Strike Force, etc. is too far out for Jakks to do. Especially if Jakks makes him a 1/2 case figure, he won't take up a huge slot for higher level talent, but will also satisfy the die-hard collectors like me.

I WANT BORIS ZHUKOV.....I've wanted him since Nikolai Volkoff's figure got released in Series 5......I think he should be released atleast 1 per case so he isn't so hard to find, but if the only way we get him is if he is released 1 every 2 cases then I'll take it....As long as we get Boris Zhukov in his Bolsheviks attire, I will be happy....!!!!!....!!!!

Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for worst tag team of the year.
1988: The Bolsheviks (Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov) (WWF)
Honestly, this team was a joke and futher more Nikolai was better suited with Iron Sheik who won the tag championship and became a HOF because of the impact that team had.
I will say, his career in AWA might barely make him eligible for a CS figure IMO, but certainly not his WWF career. And if were going to nominate AWA guys lets get Nick Bockwinkel and Vern Gagne in there first.
The thing is with the series running low, and with all the great signings lately, I much rather see at least 50 other wrestling stars in there before Boris.
Please campaign for Raymond Rougeau, him and Jacque should be made as the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers.

Nobody is insulting Killer or Rodz by saying that they won't sell as well as Boris. The proof is the the dozens of Rodz & Killer figures that warm the shelves for months and months. Boris would sell LESS than Rodz and Kowalski. Nikolai Volkoff sold less than Rodz and Kowalski. If Nikolai sold worse than them, how can you expect Boris to be any better, especially since Nikolai was the bigger star of the two? Besides, Rodz and Kowalski really weren't anywhere near the worst shelfwarmers we've ever had. Rodz in particular was hard to find. I'm not really even sure if he's a step above Rodz, they were both nobodys in the business. But Rodz is hugely respected in the business for his wrestling ability and the good work he did in putting over other wrestlers. Boris isn't. Not on the same scale, anyway.

I'd want a Boris if he was in his AWA attire, already got a decent WWF Boris custom.
