We seem to put so much on the "ratings" especially with TNA. I'm just not quite sure how accurate they are. I know I've heard of some Nielsen boxes, but sometimes they send you 30 bucks and you fill out a freaking card. How do they know you're being truthful? Seems to me a much better ratings system could be in place and the current one just may be a guestimate.

No the ratings are accurate man. Those are researched and are very founded.
I don't put much stock into them in terms of, I watch wrestling to watch wrestling. I don't care how many other ppl watch it.

All I know is I've had some friends sign up and they could have written anything they wanted to on those cards whether they watched the show or not. Maybe if there's actual electronic devices those would be accurate, but even then you're taking a small segment of the population. I just think it's like any poll taken. Unless you can poll nearly everyone it's bound to be flawed. Yet all of TV and people buy into it like it's the only thing worth thinking about. If I were TNA I'd think more about my PPV buyrates. If the show is done right and the PPV gets more buyrates the ratings should follow.

Now... does that mean that 3.5 million people are going to buy the PPVs? hell no Wrestlemania barely had over 1 million buys which is a lot. Ratings DO NOT EQUAL to the ppv buy rates
