Really, why are they/you all complaining about the price of gas rising? It's what? $4 a what ever, litre I think (correct me if I'm wrong) and I see people on the news (NBC) complaining about it being so high and how they have to cut back. Then they show the prices in the uk being $9 a litre which is over double the price that the American's are paying. I think you/they have it pretty easy to be honest. ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif)

1 of our Gallons, which is what we use is equal to what? 4 and a half litres? I presumed I got the measurment wrong, anyway, but the bloke on the news deffinitely said that the UK's gas(for cars) is twice as much as America's.

Also dont forget just 8 years ago it was $1.46 a gallon, I dont mind gas prices. I dont drive that much so it doesnt bother me. Seems the only people that are struggling with the economy are the uneducated, lower class and the younger people who have no business having children.

1 Gal=about 4 bucks
1 Litre(4.5 gals)=about 9 bucks.
Your 1 unit may cost more, but you get more gas than we do in our one unit. If we were to fill up to an equivalent to one litre, it would be exponentially more if gas was 4 dollars a gallon.

I am a middle class American and I will not complain about anything because I know I live like a king compared to most of the world. It is a true privilege to be an American and have so much. To be an American is living a charmed life. It you are struggling in America you have not seized the opportunity that is everywhere. Americans should not complain. They have no idea how wonderful this great country is if they complain. I appreciate the privilege of being an American citizen.

Don't forget that in the UK you're on an island. Prices for everything are always higher than here in the States because you've got to import everything. Also, the public transportation systems just about everywhere here in the States suck making them very impractical if not impossible to use. If I want a copy of the local bus schedule and routes I have to actually go downtown to our bus depot and find one. They're not available at the local bus stops. Plus, last year it was a dollar less than it is now.

The Europeans get way more screwed on gas than we do.

At first i was like woah that can't be right, because here in Canada, gas is about 1.20-1.40 a litre.

They have no idea how wonderful this great country is if they complain. I appreciate the privilege of being an American citizen. not every american has opportunity floating around for them to grab....apparently YOU lead a charmed life, with over 250 million people or whatever it is living in america, there is NO possible way for EVERY single one of them to be successful and there is no way you can convince me otherwise. i know people that try really hard & get s**t & i know ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing dumbasses that have had success fall upon them thru whatever chain of events led them there. it's not always about not trying, some people are in the "right place at the right time" so to speak, and some aren't. to try to apply whatever your situation is to everyone else & just infer that if other people are struggling then they must not be trying is really arrogant.
