Bryan Alvarez is reporting that Smackdown superstar Batista is scheduled to take a leave of absense from the company shortly. It is not believed to be a Wellness Policy related issue. Word is that he may be out until around SummerSlam time.

Um, so we get Taker vs Edge until SummerSlam? Draft? Would like to see Umaga/Taker at SS, under a Street fight/no DQ match. Could be killer.

Yeah, and Orton/Edge were both supposed to be taking time off not long after Backlash due to them both being burnt out.
Yep. Okay.

Yeah, and Orton/Edge were both supposed to be taking time off not long after Backlash due to them both being burnt out. Yep. Okay. Well Orton was believable because of his kid on the way. And is still possible. Edge I didn't seem to believe that though. Batista deserves it I guess. He's been going since his return from his shoulder injury in 2006, unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, and Orton/Edge were both supposed to be taking time off not long after Backlash due to them both being burnt out. Yep. Okay. Orton and Edge, from what I heard, only took off house shows. They still do PPV's and TV shows.

I could see this coming, he doesn't have much time for his daughter and he has a long distance relationship also so don't suprise me.

I can't imagine it will happen now with Orton out and Undertaker taking a vacation.

Well bad news for all the Batista haters, this is just a rumor and think about it, do you really think he's take time off now that The Undertaker is gone from Smackdown...don't think so.

If this is true - which I doubt, then with both 'Taker and Batista gone, they need to be pushing Punk into a feud with Edge.. It's what Punk needs and we'd get some excellent matches out of it.. Punk and Edge have a good chemistry in the ring - their previous two bouts were great.. It would be a great feud..

I do not believe for one single second that it isn't a Wellness Policy related issue. This is their way to cover it up. It's blatantly obvious Batista is taking steroids. There's no denying that. And I think this is WWE's way of pushing him out of the way without officially announcing it.
It almost reminds me of the time when Cena got injured. They took him off t.v. for a few months and then he makes a huge surprise return and recovery at The Royal Rumble.
I think there's more to the story there for sure. And I totally believe that WWE protects certain wrestlers from their so called "Wellness Policy". One just needs to take one look at Batista and wonder...
