After watching Take No Prisoners I have to say that Tyler Black will be the man to dethrone Nigel. Before watching it I wasn't sure who would take the title from Nigel. I figured maybe Claudio but that doesn't look very likely. While the wrestling in the match itself wasn't that great the psychology in the match was fantastic and I definitely see a rematch in the future. I will go on a record as saying Nigel Mcguiness vs Tyler Black on 8/2 with Tyler Black winning the ROH Title.

That would certainly be epic, and I would definitely be there.

Nah it's too soon. He will be up there but in due time.
I definately hope it's Claudio. Totally deserves it.

The match was excellent, but Tyler Black's promo skills are two steps from abortion. I don't see him being able to carry the ROH title at this point.
I think a face Roderick Strong should beat Nigel for the belt, tbh. Claudio's great but for some reason I don't think I'd find a title reign for him interesting.

Right now I just can't see them giving him the belt. He would make a more interesting champion than Claudio or Strong though.

I hate the guy losing tons of times then he wins, takes something away when that person gets alot of chances. Not saying Tyler has had alot but i miss the days when the guy would lose once then get built up well for a good period of time and win the second time around. How many times did Nigel get a shot at the title and lose then won it, kind of deflates the title win a little IMO.

I have a feeling that the person to dethrone Nigel will be Danielson. Black will definately get his reign with the belt by the end of the year, though.

He was really on fire right after his feud with Jimmy Rave and lost his first match to Morishima which I have no problem with. He stayed hot until he lost a second match to Morishima in Japan and then was feuding and wrestling in a bunch of mid card matches before winning the title. Tyler Black winning the title would make sense imo. He showed he could hang with Nigel and take a beating. Now the rematch could be booked showing he can hang but can he win.

Tyler doesnt need it right now. He's playing the supporting role to Jimmy & he'll stay there for a while longer. I get that ROH wanted to put the belt on Cide at the end of 2006 & ROH did a good job at making people think Nigel would take it. I think everything worked out fine but the only problem was they waited too long to pull the trigger. I still dig Nigel as champ, but would be into it more if it happended sooner.

You can quote me on that.

Danielson needs to tbh. But I like Black, so I wouldn't mind.

Danielson needs to tbh. But I like Black, so I wouldn't mind. Why does Danielson need it? If anybody doesn't need it it's Danielson. Danielson is my favorite ROH wrestler but he doesn't need the title. Whoever wins it next should be made into a star. Since no one seems to agree with Tyler Black winning it who does everyone think is gonna take the title from Nigel? I seen Strong and Claudio tossed around. I honestly can't see Strong carrying the company and Claudio had his shot. Since then nothing was built to him getting a rematch to my knowledge. Tyler Black has a great look and could really break away from the Age Of The Fall. A face Tyler feuding with Jacobs over the title would work. Black could play the great under dog face champion.

I'd ing mark for Tyler to take the title off of Nigel, but right now I think he needs to get built up a bit more as a singles wrestler before giving him something of that calibur.

Black could do it but he needs to be able to cut better promo's, right now the best promo cutter n my eyes from ROH would be Jimmy Jacobs. Say what you want but the ageofthefall are great, but don't see him winning it this soon.
