I think this is the cover because they're supposedly focusing a lot more on defense. And based on EA's track record, whenever they improve something specific, they put a player on the cover that shows it. Like Ovechkin and the skill stick, Ray Lewis and the hit stick, McNabb and the QB vision, etc.
