I think Bret was miles ahead in the ring, but Owen had a ton of personality that Bret lacked and he was still a great wrestler. My vote goes to the King of Harts.

Bret was a better worker overall, but Owen's personality stood out more of the two. I enjoy watching both now just as much as I did when they were active wrestlers, but I'll side with Bret simply because he put on some of my favorite matches of the early and mid-90s.

They were awesome, but I'll choose Bret, since I prefer good wrestlers than good entertainers.

IMO both were equal in the ring if not Owen was better, just that Owen didn't get as many chances at putting on amazing matches as Bret did.

bret on accomplishments alone ofcoarse. but who knows what owen would have done. owen never had "the ball" as they say. where bret carried the company for a while.

I don't think Owen could have carried the company during the mid-90s as WWF was already struggling enough with three of their top babyface champions in Bret, Diesel and Shawn.
Putting the belt on Owen would have been completely deserved at that point in time, but it wouldn't have been the best business move. Off topic, but, I often wonder why the Undertaker wasn't given at least a small run with the title as he almost always was stuck in crapty mid-card feuds with the Million Dollar Corporation.

There was always something about Bret Hart I didnt like he was a brilliant wrestler but his personality was never desirable, I loved Owens character and he was a great wrestler also so I gotta go with him.

Owen. Bret was absolutely horrible in my view. Bret had good matches with Austin, Michaels, and Owen, Thats it.

They were both tremendous wrestlers, but I firmly believe Bret was better. No doubt in my mind at all.

His giving slugs like Diesel and Yokozuna some of the best matches of their careers? Undertaker? The ing Patriot? Curt Hennig? Please, don't even respond.

^ My thoughts exactly man. He's calling Bret "absolutely horrible" and yet he's got Randy Orton in his sig. Bret would wrestle circles around Orton. Enough said there.
