www.wwe.com/shows/raw/articles/6832912/7276164For anyone who questioned the veracity of McMahon's Million Dollar Mania, the answer came early on Monday Night Raw. Mr. McMahon announced that he would give away $200,000 after the first match of the night, and he did just that. Of the more than 1.5 million entries, eight registrants were the lucky ones selected. To keep up to date on all the latest developments in the sweepstakes, WWE invites our fans to the WWE press conference on Thursday at New York City's Hard Rock Cafe. The first winner of the night was Daniel Drummett of Desert Palms, Calif., who answered and happily laid out the password, WWE Universe, to pocket himself $200,000. "I think I'll take a vacation to see my brother in Utah," said Drummet, a 24-year old grocery store worker and a 20-year WWE fan. "And I'm definitely going to WrestleMania XXV!" Next up for McMahon's Million Dollar Mania treatment was Justin Guy from Greenville, Tenn., who won $75,000. Guy, 26, who works with the mentally disabled, says he's looking forward to paying off his house with his winnings. Not only that, he hopes to catch a live Raw show in North Carolina about a month from now. Goodness knows he can afford it. 'This is a dream come true," said Donna Rose of New Haven, Mich, after winning $125,000 of the Chairman's green. Watching Raw at home with her husband Chris and 4-year old daughter Elizabeth, the stay-at-home mom said that her husband hopes to buy a new Harley Davidson motorcycle with the windfall. If so, the family will have plenty left over to spend on the already-planned vacation they're taking to Niagara Falls this month. Lady luck continued to roll with the next winner, Stephani Green, 22, of Lafayette, Ind., who landed $98,000. "This is so awesome, a life-changing experience," said a breathless Green, a stay-at-home mom to 11-month old twins, who watches Raw with her longtime wrestling fan husband. _____ First winner answered happily? Yeah, Vince, even your fans are hardly excited when you call them. Probably gonna use all the money on unreseasonable pay-per-views they have purchased over the years.

Am I the only one that thinks this "give away" is fake and these people aren't even real?

Like it or not this is a great idea by Vince. I was over at my parents house watching RAW and my dad who never watches wrestling was interested in the give away and got on wwe.com to register and actually watched the entire show and said he enjoyed it. I know the internet will tear this up but it is an outstanding idea on Vince's part. And here is the myspace profile of the guy who won $75,000 profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=60736896I don't see why people think it is not real. 1million dollars is alot of money yes but to a guy like Vince McMahon and WWE that amount is not totally outrageous. Give up trying to prove it is fake.

this is a fantastic idea. tonight on raw, they WERE trying to recruit fans, with many messages saying 'RAW IS THE MOST WATCHED SHOW ON CABLE TELEVISION EVERY WEEK' and the giveaway, and throwing out very decent match after match. whether people like it or not, this will increase the ratings, and they are hoping non-wwe fans will tune in(and clearly that is happening) and will end up liking the WWE product. Then, doing it 2 weeks in a row, this will get these non-fans to possibly tune in again next week in an effort to recruit a larger fanbase, and IMO, they did a good job in doing so. Regardless of what anyone here thinks, Vince is doing a good job. Though, it feels a little more like a game show than wrestling...

All this is is a cheap ratings ploy. It takes away time from actual wrestling matches, promos and storylines (not that they're very good anyway) and makes wrestling look even more fake than it's viewed as by the public.
It just seemed so tacky, especially the fact that they had to televise every call they made. How is that possibly fun for anyone else except the person getting called? Like I really want to pay money for a ticket to RAW just so I can hear some jackass tell Vince what "the password" is.
What's even worse is that they're killing time while killing time. The whole thing with Haas was pointless, as was waiting for Cryme Tyme to get all the way up the ramp, have them stand around for absolutely no reason and then call someone else.
And I can't even stress how terrible it was to end the show not with a wrestling match, not with a wrestling promo, but with a cheap plug for next week and giving away more money.
Tonight was basically a game show with bits of wrestling thrown in-between. I watch wrestling to WATCH WRESTLING. If they want to do this stuff off-air, then fine, but tonight's entire show was basically based around giving away money to buy fans.

I watch wrestling to WATCH WRESTLING. lol, then why are you watching RAW? RAW hasn't featured good wrestling in a long time. If you actually want to watch some decent wrestling, watch ECW tomorrow.

I just feel bad at how jealous people are that they didn't win, accusing it of being "fake".
I wonder what those same people do when they aren't chosen for things in life? Like Employee of the Month at work, or better yet... a spot on their friend's Top list on Myspace.
Great financial idea by McMahon. This will either add hits to WWE.com, gain ratings for RAW each and every week, or both.

Or even watch SD!. They haven't been too bad lately. Raw is just a drama about wrestling, not a wrestling show.

I'll bet if McMahon called one of you guys who are calling it "Fake", you'd shut the up. What's the matter with people having a different reaction than you would to winning money?

i believe it's real...
i mean Vince called a person and hung up b/c of their ringback tone...so i would say it's real...and that Vince needs to get up to date with the cellphone trends...

I've never seen or heard anyone win 250,000 dollars and just go, wow, thanks. Usually they are screaming like, OH MY GOD, I WON, THIS IS AWESOME, WOOOO!
