Am I the only one that thinks Dana and company are pushing Junie to be a douchebag? TUF ratings haven't been great the past few seasons. They guy has started several fights, didn't get booted. He tried to drown someone basically, and Dana kept him.
I just have a strong feeling he was brought in, sat in a room and told "Be a dick...we won't boot you. We need controversy."

Considering when two expendable guys like Noah Thomas and Marlon Sims got into it, they permanently banished them from the face of the earth... you could be onto something. A little personality goes a long way, apparently. Junie seems to be getting some major leeway, in comparison to the crap that's gotten fighters in trouble during previous seasons. Maybe next week he'll jump the wall to hook up with a townie chick, get caught, give every toilet in the house an "upper decker," punch a hole in the wall, fight five guys and injure someone innocent, and piss on Efrain's pillow. Then Dana White will walk in and say "Junie, you're an idiot." and let him stay.

Bearing in mind last season a finalist got kicked off the show for similar mindless action whilst drunk & others have been kicked off for fighting I think it's insane that either one stayed in.
At least I got to cheer when the mouthy fool who is a BJ Purple belt got tapped out. In my mind Junie certainly needs to be kickled off the show, yeah TUF isn't getting the ratings it used to BUT I want to see MMA not drunken kids who can't handle their alchol * obviously have some serious mental issues.

Junie is a nut and letting him have alcohol is extremely wrong. He's an idiot without the booze in his system and when he gets loaded, it's that much worse. He turns into a lunatic. I'm sure he'll get the boot next week for sure.
Dana White will only let it slide so far or at least I hope so anyway.

I think Dana saying - "You have to beat him off" (hehe) - was referring to Junie/Efrain...or Junie and someone. I just think this is all staged. I think they saw early on that Junie was basically crazy and just told him to take it to a new level for the show. It creates controversy and people tune in to see what will happen next. Honestly, TUF is basically on to attract new fans to MMA. Do you think casual fans trying to get into MMA want to see a bunch of guys sit around the house, doing nothing, playing cards, swimming, etc...or do they want to see someone trying to start fights, getting wasted, throwing furniture, etc?

very good point.
I think Dana knows controversy sells. Since he no longer has the cash cow that was Tito Ortiz...he is looking for the new breed of cocky fighters who have larger than life personalities who make you hate them, but yet you still tune in to see what they will do or say next...
..that is what Junie is..a f***ing car-wreck. A complete mess, but you can't keep your eyes off of him.
I don't blame Dana really. I mean it was either creat false controversy or bring the competitions back...I would have preferred the latter of the 2 but whatever. Because it was the same damn show every week. Team A trains, Team B trains, Dana announces next fight. Fighter A trains, Fighter B Trains. Fight day. End of show. It got completely mundane..I'm not saying I agree with his actions but it is more exciting to watch no matter how scripted it may be.

For what it's worth though, Tito Ortiz was never a "car wreck" the way Junie Browning is. For all of his talking and cockiness, you never got the impression that Tito was completely out of control the way Junie is. In fact, in my opinion, I always thought it came across like Tito knew exactly what he was doing. I really don't think Junie Browning knows what he is doing, or why. I mean, I think in the back of his mind, he knows he is a loose cannon and a liability to the people he's trying to get a job with. I just don't think he's matured enough to actually fix it, yet. Which is why he breaks down and cries at the end of his drunken rages. He can't control himself and he knows he's making a fool of himself, but can't stop.

I think Dana kept Junie on this past week for two reasons:
-He adds a Chris Leben TUF 1 like drama to the show -He is a very good fighter
Jumping into the cage and trying to pick a fight with Efrain wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I can't see Dana kicking him off for that. If he didn't get kicked off for the drinking and picking a fight in the house with 3 different guys, he won't be kicked off for jumping over the cage. I can see him going to the finals if he doesn't do something incredibly stupid and has to be kicked off.

And Nog won't coach him either.

Did you like how Dana White totally passed the buck to Keith Kizer so he didn't have to kick Junie off the show for jumping the cage?
"Man, Junie is lucky someone with authority wasn't here, or he'd be GONE!"
Dana, last time I checked, you ran this popsicle stand....

You mean to tell me Kizer can't review the tape and boot him? (I'm sure he heard he did it from someone else). You mean to tell me if that was someone else, Dana wouldn't have booted him? Dana always has his golden boy for each show. The one he basically hand picks to win. I think this year, it was Junie. Look at last year. Jesse goes on a drunken rage and he boots him (I still think it was because he wanted CB to be the winner, because that was his golden boy). Junie has - thrown a glass at another competitor. Started fights with several people. Tried to drown Ryan Vader. Jumped the cage to attack another competitor...and he's still there. Something fishy.

absolutely disgusting how the people in the house were treating Nog. Even Frank Mir. I hope Mir gets his ass handed to him. Nog is nothing but class and Mir seems to think he is hot sh** since beating a guy who was fighting his 2nd pro MMA fight ever.

Nog is nothing but class and Mir seems to think he is hot sh** since beating a guy who was fighting his 2nd pro MMA fight ever. That was very uncomfortable to watch. Just a bunch of no-name fighters, and even Mir, disrespecting the UFC HW champion and one of the best fighters of all-time. I love how some of these idiots feel like they're already MMA stars and UFC veterans. They act like they have nothing left to learn. I was hoping Silva was going to really snap and knock one out. I think instead of kicking guys like Junie out, they should force them to fight out of weight. "Junie, you want to fight? Fine. Instead of kicking you out, in order to stay...you must beat..."
