Pretty updated results are on the first post of this thread, if anyone wants/needs them. Onto the show: Awesome opening match with the World X Cup Elimination. Kinda of suprised that Team TNA got the win in this (which is the reason I knew they weren't going to win Ultimate X). I personally hope TNA somehow works out a deal with DragonGate, where Yoshino and Doi can work in TNA every so often... love these guys. Kim/Love was a decent match, showed that both women can add something to TNA womens divison. Enjoyable, at least. I personally thought Dutt/Lethal was great, minus the "love angle" with Val constantly being put into play. Without her and more wrestling, this could have been awesome. LAX/BMI was boring, as I thought it would be. Beer Money should've walked away champs tonight, adding a little spice to this fued. Instead LAX will get the win 1 or 2 more times, until Beer Money get the straps when nobody cares about them anymore. Wilde/Kong was great, as expected. Really hoping for Kong/Abyss at Hard Justice. I'll mark out like the guy in the Yellow shirt at the Rumble this year. Ulimate X... was... the... WORST match of the night, by far. Didn't live up to ANY of the other Ultimate X matches from the past. The Kaz/Daivari spot was something to say "Wow!" about, but thats it. Very lackluster. Full Metal Mayhem was just one of those matches. It sucked and was a complete cluster of a match, up until the final few spots. Once Brother Devon hurt himself, the match got good (nothing against Devon). Really hoping Angle/Trigg vs. Styles/Karen doesn't happen at Hard Justice. Instead, Angle/Styles in a 30 Minute Iron-Man Match! Booker/Joe passed ALL expectations. I thought it'd be good, at best. But the way they turned Joe heel was brilliant. Joe a heel is awesome and I can't wait for some better fueds with this new heel Joe. It makes him exciting to watch again! Tied with World X Cup Elimination and Dutt/Lethal for Match of the Night. But i'm going to give the nod to the World X Cup match. Good pay-per-view. Not something i'd order again, but it was worth a view. Just can't wait until Hard Justice now! - Triple S

CMLL has nothing to do with Doi and Yoshino.

Okay, as a long time WWE fan (20 years to be exact) I started watching TNA a few weeks ago (in a fan sense) and I really enjoyed it. Tonight I ordered the PPV and I gotta say TNA has just won a fan for life outta me. Not saying I'm gonna give up on WWE because I'm not but it's cool now to have 2 companies to watch at the same time again.
The only thing that really left a bad taste in my mouth was Booker/Joe. I was expecting a blow-away main event and while it was good the non-ending with Sting just made me scratch my head. Oh well, it's just another reason to keep watching on Thursday's now.

The finish to the main event was terrible, just really really bad and left everyone with a bad taste in their mouth. The match itself was alot better then I thought it would be, and Joe and Booker both really impressed the hell out of me, but the finish was bullshit. I was one of the only ones cheering Joe, and everyone around me were all pro-Booker. I ing own. Besides the ed up finish, it was by far the best wrestling event I have ever attended....ever. They messed up on the seating chart online, and I thought I had second row by the stage. Turns out it was second row on the side facing the camera, so there's a good chance you see my dumb ass alot throughout the show. The finish to the Ultimate X was ing sick looking in person. Probably the sickest spot I have ever seen live. It looked like Kaz got legit hurt badly. Highlight of the night was when Velvet Sky stood in front of me the entire Love/Gail match. It was so much fun.

Why don't you just get back subject instead of talking about spelling mistakes? I enjoyed the show. Far from the best this year (Slammiversary) but far from the worst (AAO '08) Slammiversary is definitely not the best event of the year, all it had was Angle/AJ and Petey/Kaz.

I went to the show, it was f'n PHENOMENAL live. I have a few friends that were basically side-by-side with Vince Russo the whole night and apparently a couple of minutes into the finish of the match Russo ran off in a huff. Looks like things didn't go as planned? As far as being a fan in the audience: the finish made absolutely NO sense at all

Slammiversary is definitely not the best event of the year, all it had was Angle/AJ and Petey/Kaz. Care to explain which TNA PPV was better than Slammiversary? You said Against All Odds was the worst, I think it's a lot better than Slammiversary was. Angle/Cage was almost as good as AJ/Angle, and the end stretch had me on the edge of my seat. The 3d/Devine vs Lethal/MCMG Street Fight was absolutely great as well. Despite being taped, Barbed Wire Massacre was still decent. It wasn't the best match, but it was a passable brawl. Although it was short, ODB/Kong was good, they told a good story in the match. Young/Storm wasn't great, but was actually better than expected, and Steiner/Petey was decent, especially considering the contrast in styles there. Slammiversary only really had Angle vs Styles and Petey vs Kaz, everything else was pretty much crap, especially KOTM, it was just boring, it had no intensity to it. The 6 Woman tag match was alright. LAX/3D just dragged on way too long, and was one of the most boring matches of the year. The fan challenge was pointless, and the wedding segment was trash. So Against All Odds had a lot more passable stuff, and actually kept some quality throughout the show spread out, rather than Slammiversary, which had a lot less.

I agree with SG, on this one. I'd put these as the top 4 of 2008 so far:
1. Slammiversary 2008 2. Victory Road 2008 3. Sacrifice 2008 4. Lockdown 2008

The main event match was laughable. It wasn't horrible. It was slow paced, but it was a decent match from what was done. The ending was good, because I felt Joe's heel turn was done well, making him seem like, he doesn't care, and he will just beat down people at will.

Joe shouldn't be a heel at this point in his career. He's booked like a buffoon anyway so I guess it won't matter.

Not only do I think they turned him heel in a brilliant way, but they clearly aren't booking him well as a face. So, i'd rather Joe be booked well... heel it is! Ya know? - Triple S
