Yep I'm leaving on Sunday for Study Abroad. I will be going to Europe for a month, specfically the UK, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany. The trip is titled World War II: Memories and Memorials. We take the route the Allies took from London all the way to Berlin. (USA! USA! USA!)
I'm really looking forward to it. We had an on-campus phase of the trip, which included 10 days of watching WWII related movies and discussion. I've been at home for the past 2 1/2 weeks reading a lot of texts required for the course and writing journals on them.
Yes so I'm excited to go. I went to Egypt in December for a week but other than that I haven't really been out of the country. This program is neat because I'm interested in WWII and if I wasn't in the program I would have still liked to visit the places we're going. Some of the places include the beaches of Normandy, Buchenwald concentration camp, Churchill's underground bunker and more. I plan on seeing and doing a bunch of other stuff on our free time, especially on the weekends. If you live or have visited those countries feel free to suggest anything. We'll be staying in London, Paris,
So yeah I'm going to be around tomorrow for a bit, but I'll be packing and hanging out with some friends before I leave Sunday. I know everyone will miss me.
I'll get back July 10th and I'll have plenty of pics and stories for everyone. Take care.
