Triple H definitely doesn't put his all in the pedigree anymore.
I remember during '96 to '97, Hunter's pedigree was great, and speaking of Austin, when he first introduced the Stunner, some of his earlier victims sold it like death.

Stone Cold Stunner > Pedigree Why? Because your getting your neck "broken" which is more likely to kill you or at least paralyze you. The Pedigree just bruises. Wouldn't a Stunner just bruise your throat area though? A Pedigree could cause facial damage such as a broken nose. Anyway I agree with a few on here... the pedigree used to look great when the person taking it had balls enough to stay horizontal, and when Trips wouldn't let go of the arms too soon.

The way HHH used to do it, he use to always have their arms griped up to where they land flat on their face, he releases their arms now to prevent face injuries... WWE most likely made him stop doing the finisher like that to prevent injury. This is my guess.

And with the F-U, your getting lifted onto a pretty tall guy's shoulders, lifted higher into the air, and thrown to the ground. That can't feel nice(kayfabe wise, but I assume it doesn't tickle in real life). The FU might look like it hurts, but if you break it down, it's pretty much the same as a bodyslam, or any other basic back bump they take during a match. Why does landing hard on your back from the FU hurt more than when you land from a higher distance on a backbody drop? The idea is that it's supposed to be something like a Death Valley Driver, where they're dropped right on their head/neck, but it's WWE Main Event Style to make everything as tame and safe as possible, so he just gives them a basic back bump. So I THINK they're acting as if it's the neck/head bump of the DVD in storyline terms, when it working the match terms, they just keep it safe and hope nobody wonders why landing on your band off Cena's shoulders damn near kills you when landing on your back any other way just slows you down. As for the Pedigree, sometimes it looks good, sometimes it doesn't. The idea behind the move works for me, you can't get your arms down to break your fall and have for face driven into the mat unprotected with a 250lbs guy comming down on top of it to boot. So the idea of the move works, it's killer when he does it well, but I think it's another WWE Main Event Style situation where they're more concerned with protecting eachother than making things look real. Back when he was near killing jobbers with it, it looked GREAT. Dangerous, but great. Back before guys were roided up to the point their muscles tore apart out of the blue, they could take some contact for the sake of making things look good. It's kind of ironic, they put this new style in place to slow things down and reduce risk/injury, yet guys get hurt doing nothing on a consistant basic now.
