Finished Powers Vol. 2 which included stories: Little Deaths: It was ok, the story wasn't bad but I felt it ended kinda abruptly. Supergroup: ing amazing, I loved this story so much from beginning to end. and Anarchy: Also wasn't bad, wasn't as good as Supergroup but it was interesting what they talk about.

just read punisher max 5 and WOW it just keeps getting better and better. punisher's battle with that religious zealot was ing epic, especially with how it ended with him passing out right beside him, remembering how he'd forgotten his son's birthday. aaron knows how to write castle. and the indepth look at the complex psychopathic mind of the kingpin is fantastic, showing how he was willing to sacrifice his son, and in that way to some degree he is killing the boy he was as a child. vanessa is done perfectly too, she just fits really oddly well. and now...bullseye! Loved this issue. Great writing on Fisk. Can't wait for 6 to see how Aaron writes Bullseye.

^ agreed.
i read the first three issues (if .5 is included?) of powers volume 1 today. intriguing concept, and i like the classic styling of character drawings displayed. but ahhh! another strong female character devoid of sexuality...comics are full of them haha.

did i ever. absolutely sadistic when bullseye reveals the blood/feces covered bag with the gun, i was losing it. and the way they have fisk brewing from high up, almost reminded me of Lucky Number Slevin. the artist made bullseye and fisk look fairly similar though, i must say!

I've been reading the book I Kill Giants recently and it is pretty interesting, I think I am only 3 or 4 chapters in but I do like the story and it kinda reminds me of Joe the Barbarian with the thing where you don't know if this person is crazy or if these things are real which is really cool.
Also I finally got around to reading Flash 1, holy crapthis issue was amazing. I was never a flash fan before this but after reading this issue I can't wait to read more.

finished up vertigo's 'the bronx kill'. excellent book although it took a bit to get into, an interesting book about a troubled writer who's wife goes missing and how it corrolates with 3 generations of his family's history. troubling stuff, especially with the revelation of how his wife has an affair with his much older prick father...disturbing

just finished up batman: streets of gotham 11. i actually enjoyed the story quite a bit although the whole 'bane kid' was a bit much, and a few of the scenes were fantastic. zsasz was well written too. here's a few of my favourite scenes: damian preparing to battle back. zsasz on a spree.

I need to catch up on Streets of Gotham. I'll probably jump on around July when the follow up to Heart of Hush starts.

after discussing the recent spider-man gauntlet issues involving rhino on this board, i looked up his history and found information on a very interesting tale of the rhino, entitled 'flowers for rhino' found in spider-man's tangled web from 01. it gets into very deep detail on how the rhino's pride and lack of self-confidence has led him to become the villain he is, and how he despises spider-man for being one of the 'smart, lean, under two hundred pounds' people who have life easy.
really cool story. had to obtain it with torrents but if i can find the back issues, perhaps on ebay, i'll be sure to buy. only half done it (issue 5, concluding in issue 6).

Transformers Last Stand Of The Wreckers is becoming my FAVORITE comic to read. Each month they leave me in suspense and dying for the next issue.
Also, props to Iron Man Legacy and The Invincible Iron Man.

After reading what I got, I have to recommend daredevil 506. It was pretty sick, and it was a great jumping on point for me. The art wasn't fantastic but it got the job done.
I love where this story is headed.

i was just reading some back issues of punisher war journal from 07-09 and i forgot how much i loved how they made frank handle the whole civil war/registration act and especially his involvement and relationship with captain america, and how he reacts to his death. the nazi villain in #5 is amazing, really creative character.

last night i read numerous different hellboy titles to catch myself up enough for the black goddess, which seems to be the final culminating event in the whole 'end of the world/liz being the source of energy/left handed creatures rising/toads/etc'. cannot wait, by far the greatest comic series i have ever read.
i reread hollow earth last night because of it's direct association, along with war on the frogs. i also read bprd: the ectoplasmic man, bprd: the warning, bprd: killing ground, and a few random hellboy oneshots. i finished with a few issues of hellboy: weird tales.

Currently wondering why I'm still pulling Amazing Spider-man. The Captain Universe reveal was such a letdown. I predict that this is the next cover to ASM:

I read issues 10 and 11 of Streets of Gotham which were just amazing, and I really became a fan of Damian after that and then I read all of Superman Red Son. I'm not a huge fan of alternate universe stuff or what if comics but I really enjoyed this one, I really liked how this wasn't all about Superman and it had other characters like Batman and Green Lantern and seeing the differences in there characters in this book was pretty neat. And even though the ending was super weird it was also kinda cool because I've never seen an ending done like that before.

I just finished War of the Supermen 0.
As someone who doesn't read Superman, I loved it. I was planning on jumping on the title when Straczynski takes over at 700, but I think I'll add War to my pull list.
