Anyone else reading Doomwar? Indeed. I've followed the first four issues. Really enjoying it so far; Doom is just ruthless. My only problem is where the hell did the X-Men go? Did I miss something?

ultimate avengers 3 - i like the 'black ops' team they've assembled, and i also enjoy how castle is portrayed. definite direction...cool to see their first threat encountered by ghost rider, next issue is definetly gonna have some serious crapgoing down. nemesis 2 - well, it just keeps getting a bit crazier and crazier. really enjoy how the character is so much like batman with the arrogant level turned way up. also love his blatant drug use, it's hilarious. the rivalry he has with this one cop seems a little ed up considering he seems like an international threat but this one cop has him between his fingers? still damn good, and i love the art. chew 11 - story continues to develop at a slow yet progressive pace. chu becomes stronger and more resilient to stress every issue, and this whole 'vampire' storyline is actually damn trippy. plus, the general plot is so obscene yet well done that it makes for a humorous, enjoyable read. and to reply to ya joe, best for last, for punisher max 8 - the writing continues to be absolutely flawless. this is how frank castle is supposed to be, a calculated hot head and the personality difference in him vs bullseye reminds me of the classic young arrogant know it all vs. the quiet, reserved old dog of a man. also i love fisk's role in this, completely perfect. he scares the crapout of me. the depiction of his lifestyle - his lavish homes, his endless servants, and his depressed, melancholic wife who cannot forget the death of their son...like , literally some of the best MEDIA, not just comics or books, but media in comparison to all forms i have ever encountered. and the ending...fisk being shot by his wife, made me almost crapa brick, and castle finally being pushed far enough to do what the punisher does not - kill a man of the law. can only get better, but i don't see how that's even possible.

So just some thoughts on a few comics I've been reading: Amazing Spider-Man 633 was ing amazing, and I actually got a little sad reading it. Probably my favorite arc so far. Amazing Spider-Man 634 I have super high hopes for this, it seems like it is going to be another amazing arc and I wonder if this will be the end of "the gauntlet" Punisher Max 8 Bullseye has been my favorite villain so far of all of the Max villains (yes even better than barracuda) he is just so crazy and it is so good, I almost never want his arc to end. Brightest Day 3&4 This series has been getting more and more interesting, the stuff with Hawkman and Hawkgirl has been neat and I can't wait to see where it goes. I kinda hope they do more and more stuff with Deadman though Ultimate X 3 this comic is really good, but it takes way too long to come out I mean they are only on the 3rd hero and we still have no idea what the main story is going to be. I also caught up on Daredevil which has been nothing short of awesome.

Finished up Fables Vol. 5 and 6.
Vol. 5 was really good, I liked what they did with Bigby's backstory and some of the other things that happend which if I explained would be big spoilers.
Vol. 6 started out with a kinda out of place story with the rest of the book about Jack but it wasn't bad. And the parts about the "homeland" which was the rest of the book was really good and had some really awesome story things happen.
This is becoming one of my favorite books that is going right now and maybe that I've ever read. I really need to catch up though.

Pretty much caught up on the old trades I had to read with finishing Powers: Book 3 Story 1 was The Sellouts, really good story and had a kind of Irredeemable vibe with what happened towards the end, and the conclusion was really awesome. Story 2 was Forever, ing amazing is all I have to say, it was mostly just the backstory of Christian and what his life was like before this and it was just awesome, so glad they finally more with his story and I can't wait to see what is going to happen next And it had one more story but it was just a big joke with Madman being killed and it was pretty funny.

been reading a lot of various titles that i've been intending to for quite some time. for one, i read the entirety of invincible start to finish, and i must say i really did enjoy it. while the story does have a kind of cluster flow to it (some things being quite simple while other things in plot being complex) but overall it is a fantastic comic that takes the general 'spider-man' concept and gives it a nice twist. i'll be reading this for good. i also started the american son mini series outside of the asm title. i enjoyed the four-issue series during dark reign and i've always found harry osborn to be an intriguing character when written correctly. it's been good so far but norman osborn having a son? ehhhh. we'll see where this one goes. read the first issue of 'powerless' - a mini series in which it tells the story of a psychiatrist who after being revived from a coma finds himself confused at the world he awakes in and it's differences from the one he remembers - where he is now has no super heroes, but he can recollect a time of heroes - what does it all mean? loved how wolverine showed up at the end with the strap on hitman claws, too sweet. this one looks promising. after that, i'm probably gonna check out robin: year one, the breed series and some back issues of heroes for hire. oh, and i'm finally gonna start on preacher.

I love that more people are getting into Invincible, when I first started reading it I didn't understand why no one else did because it was so good yet seemed to get no credit.

finished the first steve rogers comic. love the james bond feel to it, the tranquilizer dart gun and overall how this is developing like a crime/mystery comic. ing awesome approach and direction, brubaker is a smart man. also read red hood 2, and it was REALLY, REALLY good. much better than the first issue...i mean, i usually hated the whole idea of tim being brought back but the way they've handled how it happened has actually made me relent, and i now actually enjoy it. red robin 14 was good, enjoyed how he put damian in his place, and i'm interested to see how his strategy and hitlist develops.

I read Avengers: The Children's Crusade not really expecting much but it turned out to be pretty neat, I've never really read any Young Avengers before other than a few tie in comics with some events but I thought that some of the characters are pretty cool and I'm pretty surprised that Marvel actually made 2 of them gay. I hope this miniseries continues to be good.
Walking Dead 74 wasn't bad, not too much happened but I think this arc is going to turn out pretty interesting after what happened in the final pages.
Secret Six 23 I'm kinda sad that I never started to read this series before because I think it is pretty awesome, I think I'll have to go back and read the other 21 issues that I didn't pick up before.
iZombie 3 this series continues to be really good and it seems that the story is picking up more steam, I am liking some of the characters more and I'm getting to a point to where I can't wait until next month to read the next issue.
And finally Scarlet, it's nice to see Bendis doing something else that superhero comics and this issue didn't disappoint. I thought it was really interesting, I like how they actually break the 4th wall in this comic just because it is something different and it is done really well, I kinda wish they explained what this comic is going to be about though.
Scarlet probably would have been my favorite comic of this week if B&R 13 didn't come out.
