Oh man Mignola doing Batman sounds pretty awesome, I may have to check that out.
So with the sequel to Heart of Hush coming out tomorrow I decided to read the original. I would call this story amazing, I read the original Hush trade awhile back and really liked it but I think I enjoyed this story more. Dini did such a good job with the writing and I really enjoyed Nguyen's art. I loved how much backstory they gave on Hush and showed how completely insane he actually is. I really liked how they showed how much Batman actually cares about Catwoman and I can't wait for them to meet up again when Bruce comes back and also I really liked the ending with Catwoman just taking all of Hush's money. Also it was a small thing but I loooooved seeing Batman interrogating Scarecrow and Joker just watching and making comments, it was hilarious.
So yeah I can't wait for the sequel to this story, I'm glad Dini and Nguyen are doing it again and I have high hopes even though I have no idea what is going to happen in it.

i agree with you guys, it's my next read in a couple of minutes. i'll update with my thoughts on it, but first...
death ship 1. didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be fantastic. based in the late 1800s, it's about a sailboat and the captain of the ship, a veteran of sailing, who does his best to keep the crew in order (despite the ruffian who questions his authority and drinks) and teach his young son the ways of the sea as well. however, at night a crewman spots an odd looking tall thin man on deck, who dissapears just as quickly as he was sighted. the rest dispell this as nonsense, until a crewmember goes missing with only his tobacco pipe remaining...issue 2 is sure to be even better! get reading this one guys.

well, streets of gotham was great. i've been wondering really what the hell hush had been saying, rather he was still posing as bruce or had gone back into hiding. he kind of got lost in the mix with all the chaos that's been going on in the batman universe, so it's good to see them fit this story in with streets of gotham. he's always been a favourite, and it's good to see he's being written properly.
was also cool to see the falcone/two-face bout at the end of the book - we should always be aware of what's going on in gotham's criminal underground, and that means two-face and penguin.
i haven't read the arkham asylum: living hell series, so i really only know jane doe from when the black mask released her. i'll have to look for it, she looks horrifying.

Sweets 1 - This seems like it will turn into a pretty cool story, the first issue was pretty weird and was mostly just setting the rest of the story up so not a ton happened but I can't wait to read more.
Young Avengers 1 - 6 - I didn't think I would actually enjoy this story but it is actually really cool, the first 6 issues were pretty awesome and had a cool story involving Kang and I can't wait to read the next 6 issues to see what the next story is going to be about.

So Streets of Gotham 14 - So...uhh this was a good story, I like where it seems to be going but here's the thing I can't say I like paying $4 for a 7 page main feature and then having the 2nd feature being the rest of the comic. The Two-Face story wasn't bad but it didn't need to be that long. I really hope they don't do the same thing with the next issue.
Walking Dead 75 - Awesome issue, the end was really great also it had a hilarious mini-story with the artist of Invincible where it was aliens who caused this whole zombie infestation. Also it had pictures of the cast for the Walking Dead TV show and they all looked really great and I cannot wait for this show to air.
Brightest Day 6 - Ok issue, I kinda feel like they should be focusing more on Boston Brand than these weird out of place stories with Martian Manhunter and Aquaman that have more to do with themselves than anything with Black Lanterns or White Lanterns.
Avengers 3 - Not bad, I think either Romita's art is getting better or I'm just getting use to it at this point. Also the whole thing with the "apocalyptic" versions of some of the characters like Spider-Man and Scarlett Witch was cool.
Amazing Spider-Man 638 - So now that The Gauntlet is over I didn't know what to expect from Spider-Man and this issue was a bit weird, the first few pages make it seem like this story will turn out to be cool so I have kind of high hopes. The whole thing with switching the art was pretty crazy but I did think it was a cool thing, hopefully they don't do it too much though or the novelty will kinda wear off. And I hope in the next issue they explain a bunch more on what this arc is going to be about and it isn't made up of a ton of flashbacks. But overall it was a good issue.
Batman Beyond 2 - Great issue, the whole thing with this mystery villain stealing the M.O.'s of other villains is cool, also I loooved the whole thing with a certain lady character coming back.
And one more, Steath 1 - There were some really cool things about this story and there were some things that weren't so great, I'll start off with the things that were cool: I liked how they made it seem like Todd was going to be Stealth and they made the twist be it was his father, I like how Todd's father isn't all there and how he has alzheimers and the ending with the father beating up Todd was pretty cool too. And now things I didn't like: the main thing would probably be when Todd first found out about his father being Stealth I think it was a terrible scene and I didn't like how Todd really didn't react at all and there were other just small things that I didn't like. But since this is Kirkman I will keep reading it because I know he can do such good things with stories even if they are not too great at first.

Dan Slott is the sole writer with Stefano Caselli, Marcos Martin and Humberto Ramos rotating on art, come October. The book is also going to be twice monthly. Hopefully this brings some consistency to the book.

Not sure if you posted that before or after I changed it last night, so before it was Inception, now it's Perrier's Bounty.

Finished up the Young Avengers book and it was great, I hope they put out a ongoing series after Children's Crusade is over.
And I read 2 chapters of Chew Vol. 2 and it is still amazing, and Chu and Colby being partners again is just so good.

Finished up Vol. 2 of Chew and it was really good, and if you aren't reading this book you're nuts.
Also I decided that I should finished Ex-Machina and read issues 6 - 14 and they were all really good and I'm liking the book more and more as I read it, not a huge fan of how much it jumps around timeline wise sometimes though but Vaughn is such a good writer so I forgive him for that.

Finished Demo, and it was really really good. There were some stories that were better than others (chapter 2 was probably my favorite one) but there were just some stories towards the end that I didn't really enjoy because they weren't about superpowers and I get why Wood did it, but in a book that was 90% about people having things like being able to raise the dead and then getting stories that weren't like that at all were just kinda lame in comparison but at least they still were well written.

Mukau, this ASM arc is about answering all the questions fans had from One More Day. This arc can't end soon enough, ugh. I guess the whole Brand New Day saga will be over soon. Still, the Origin of the Species arc looks like it could be a lot of fun....despite the Lizard being a part of it. But I suppose it could make sense.

read the preview to alan moore's upcoming release, 'neonomican hornbook'. seems pretty damn interesting. i'm pretty behind on my reading, so tommorow i'll have to update with my thoughts on some of the newer comics released - specifically punisher max 9, and the conclusion of wolverine origins.
