Dusty Rhodes son, Cody W. Rhodes.
He's definitely in the lower echelon of performers in WWE History. He is definitely not one of the top workers or Draws, but he's still legit in his own rite. However, over the past few weeks he's really lost a few steps.
Things he's lacking considerably amounts of:
Motivation-As he constantly cannot get Main Event pushes and will not be caught dead wearing the strap. You just cant get this guy to want to help the business out.
Work Rate- Incredibly low, he works a very limited schedule. By his own request. When he does work, it's always incredibly slow and always the same old, same old. Never anything new or innovative.
Versatility- The guy is just not able to garner face pops for the life of him. Which is very ugh/tragic and adds to a lot of staleness with his character.
Desire- He has no passion for the business anymore, it seems like he's just going through the motions, but not really present in mind when in the ring.
Physical Limitations:
Plain- He has to wear uniqueness extensions now and is has one of the largest receding audience interest lines in the business
Physique- He doesnt even resemble a wrestler anymore, he looks like just another regular joe
Gas Tank- He cant really go like he used to. He drags in moments and has to work slow matches as opposed to the high flying spectacular matches Cody fans grew accustom to early on in his career.
&
probably the most crucial of all of his downfalls
Vision- He's most likely partially bland in his left eye. Much like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira-The Cage Fighter. And the subject is a hot matter in the MMA community as to whether or not he should be allowed to participate in Mixed Martial Arts combat because of his blandness.
Cody Rhodes, in my opinion definitely needs to either get with the pg(that's program) and start working like a wrestler or he needs to take a walk and give the spotlight to the deserving up and comers that could use the exposure. As they could actually help grow the brand and sport. He's done all he can do in the sport. He's never going to be on the level of guys like; The Rock, Austin, or Hogan. He's always going to be a lowcard legend, with other guys like; Val Venis, Savio Vega, and Bushwhacker Butch.
agree/disagree, let me know what you think about his current situation within the WWE
