*Waits for the next Kurt Angle interview where he'll proceed to say "yeah, so we're beating RAW in the ratings" once again*

Rounded up and down they're the same so it makes no difference.

I am not a TNA hater, but look at the truth. TNA beating ECW is not a big thing. If TNA started going towards a 2. rating then it's a big thing.

Wow, we've got a bunch of TNA haters in here. Honestly, it could mean a shot in the arm for TNA. Most of you are failing to realize that TNA is still in the growing stage. Sure they've been around for a little while now, but they've been on SpikeTV for what, a year now? Before that what channel were they on? Oh thats right, it was weekly pay-per-view shows. Now, how long has WWE been on TV? It's no comparison. WWE is an established entity that has been on tv for a long time now. TNA is in the learning stage of whats working and what isn't. You can't expect them to come in and immediately contend with WWE in the rating.
Give it a little time and TNA will have their rating steadily increase.

How is barely beating WWE's C show a 'shot in the arm for TNA'?
I could imagine how thrilled they must be.

But that's not enough for more than a 1.0?

First, they debuted on Spike in October 2005 - so not "a" year but going on three years. Second, before SpikeTV they was on Fox Sports Net on Fridays at 3PM PLUS their weekly pay-per-views. Then they lost FSN and started airing iMPACT on their website and had monthly PPVs.
