I can't believe people still think Benoit is great. What is wrong with you people? Obviously you've never had anyone in your family murdered, because if you did you wouldnt be treating him as a saint. Hes a sick bastard who murdered his family and was to much of a ing coward to face the conquences. B.I.H. Benoit, R.I.P. Nancy and Daniel. Exactly my point.

You know what, some people need to just shut up. Who cares if people have Benoit sigs, who cares if they wanna remember Benoit for his in ring ability?! Who ing cares? Why does it matter to you?! It's not your ing opinion. We get it, you hate the man. We don't need you to post it a million times for us to understand. But why does it matter so much to you if somebody has a Benoit sig or avatar. Let them think what they want to think, it's not going to kill you or make the world end. Just ignore them. Christ, the people who constantly bash Benoit are worse than people who like Benoit. The reason people having Benoit in their sigs upsets others is the same reason having Adolf Hitler, O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, anyone in a KKK outfit with a burning cross, Osama Bin Laden, and/or John Wayne Gacy in a sig would offend people. They are associated with heinous acts and no matter what good they may have done prior to those acts, they will never overshadow the evil they did. It's the same reason that people get offended when someone flies a rebel flag, despite the person flying it has no bad intentions and is just expressing pride in their southern heritage. Anyone with such an image in their sig should be fully aware that there is a negative connotation associated with that image and just deal with it. Otherwise, if you can't take the backlash, don't put up an image of something that is assoicated with someone/something as bad as a child killer. While I was no fan of his, others did look up to him and there are those that feel betrayed by what he did. Not to mention, he killed a woman and a child. That doesn't sit well with many people.

OK, but I still think he had his brain damaged. To quote The Rock, "It doesn't matter what you think!" Sorry, couldn't help myself. To quote Chris Jericho, Could you please shut the hell up

Saying people should remember Chris Benoit for his brilliant in-ring ability and not on the evil crimes he commited is akin to saying we should remember Hitler for his brilliant moustache and not on the thousands of people he killed.

He did it and people have to understand it and learn to accept it.

To quote The Rock, "It doesn't matter what you think!" Sorry, couldn't help myself. To quote Chris Jericho, Could you please shut the hell up As long as I have full use of both of my hands, I don't think I will. Plus, at least in my post I actually addressed the issue. Continue to believe that Chris Benoit had brain damage if it helps you sleep at night. Two people died at his hands, regardless of his mental health. It makes no difference to me if the man was a cold-blooded killer or a brain-damaged intellectually- disabled person on a rampage. Unfortunately, there is little conclusive evidence that proves what he did was the result of brain damage, especially the type of brain damage that debilitates people from leading a normal life and not sends them into a psychotic murderous rampage with spiritual/ritualistic overtones. But as long as you have Maryse in your sig, I will continue to hate on Benoit because I don't want her going anywhere. ;D

My point isn't whether or not they care. The point is that when you openly display images that are associated with something as negative as a man who killed his wife and child and then proceed to say something like "Rest In Peace", or "Still My Hero", you better be willing to deal with the backlash. How about I put it like this, try walking down a predominantly black neighborhood wearing a shirt with a swaztika on it shouting n!gg3r. At the very least, you will catch some $h!t for it. If someone can post a potentially offensive image, they should learn to deal with the flack they get.

See, I don't see a difference and I will tell you why. If Benoit truly had brain damage, how do you think he got it? From years of abusing his body with drugs and smacking his head on everything like an idiot. He made the choices leading up to that day's events. So if he was truly out of his mind, it was still his fault because he did it to himself. I love how people rag on guys like Cena, Batista, and Triple H accusing them of steroid use, yet Benoit ordered like a ten month supply every month and was roided to the gills. I mean, c'mon his arms couldn't even touch his sides. The autopsy didn't show brain damage, but it sure did show steroids in his system. Either way, he made his grave and is now lying in it. But if you want to love a child killer, ok love him.

going on this brain damage theory some believe it was caused by doing headbutts , steel chair hits to the head, and drugs. if thats the cause then Snadman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Raven, Justin Credible, Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Tazz, The Dudleys, Lance Storm, and all the other Original ECW guys should have brain damage since the got hit by just about everything possibly made in the 90's. And yet I have not seen anyone of them kill their families and ,with the exception of the late Mike Awesome, kill them selves.

But if you want to love a child killer, ok love him. Those headbutts he did could affect his brain. Wow, way to repeat what I just said. What part of "From years of abusing his body with drugs and smacking his head on everything like an idiot" evaded you? It's still his fault. Take a look at The Rock. He is considered the most entertaining wrestler of all time. Did he take chairshots full force without protecting himself to entertain others? No. Did he jump head first from the top turnbuckle landing head first into someone's shoulder, or in some cases the canvas itself because the opponent moved? No. Yet he still entertained without risking his health and livelyhood. Benoit chose to do those things in the name of entertaining fans, yet he never gained that much success. Not a good trade off. Again, this is speculation as there is debate as to whether or not he had legitimate brain damage. In a shoot interview, New Jack said that Chris Benoit never took a chairshot full force without protecting himself, so that may not even be the case.
