Wow.. i really enjoyed 2003 But i didnt pay much attention to Triple H during it. I think '07 is the worst year in WWE History. Hampered with injuries of practically every main eventer, deaths being announced almost monthly (including Benoit) the embarrassment of a Vince-Death angle... Horrible year.

2007 for sure with like Chokeslamcena said, major injuries to just about every top Superstar, the tragedy, etc, etc. WM23 was one of the few bright spot that year.

Storyline wise, '02 is the worst I've ever seen. If it weren't for some tremendous matches on Smackdown towards the end of the year, I'd say we'd all be better off just forgetting that year altogether.

I liked 2002. I would say 2007 was the worst. McMahon as ECW Champion? Edge injured, Undertaker injured, Triple H injured, Rey Mysterio injured, Shawn Michaels injured, and Cena injured (which isn't bad to me). Also, there were too many deaths. Could it be any worse?

How people have said 1999 and 1998 confuses me beyond belief.

wow everyone is trashing the last couple of years in the WWE maybe its time to look elsewhere for entertainment i honestly dont know what people expect nowadays you mean to tell me that the vince limo thing was bad? yeah as a storyline....but think about what it led to... at leas it was something DIFFERENT. everyone sits and complains about how its all the same in the WWE now, and they go do something different and everyone trashes it because its not their idea of fun do you really think Vince was sitting there saying "lets blow me up, im sure people will buy it" no, he did it because he KNEW it would be ridiculously exaggerated and talked about for YEARS
every year in wrestling has had its ups and downs I'm going to examine some of that now:
the 80's was DOMINATED by Hulk Hogan...and until they booked Warrior to beat him in 1990, aside from Andre there werent any other "world recognized" stars
nowadays, WWE does more revenue overseas than here in the states, guys like shawn michaels, john cena, undertaker, triple h are all "top" talent....the company isnt run by just 1 guy anymore. its about the main event scene, not just one.
1991 had sgt. slaughter joining iraq you're telling me this was a "good thing" looking back, it was an amazing angle...but think about it at the time...this country was AT WAR with Iraq...they were the most hated people on the planet...a wrestling angle exploiting that was an awful idea, War is something very real and terrible for all of us. i remember reading somewhere that the sarge got death threats consistantly during this time...must have been fun
however 1991 also showed us a "real" side of wrestling with the Randy Savage/Elizabeth wedding. which took the focus off of the war for awhile and made everyone just genuinely happy
1992-1995 was the primary "gimmick" era remembering the likes of Doink, Repo Man, Crush, Papa Shango....but forgetting guys like Nailz, Max Moon, & Damien Demento
there are so many things worth remembering, but plenty worth forgetting...good things like ric flair winning the 1992 royal rumble, then dropping the belt 3 months later to randy savage...the undertaker turning face and "dying" in 1994, Tatanka's undefeated streak and eventual heel turn...owen hart beating bret at WM10, eventually winning the KOTR and becoming a legit superstar...the debut of "Monday Night RAW"
then there were things like wrestlemania 9, lex luger's "push", lawrence taylor main eventing a PPV, isaac yankem, todd pettengill, undertaker vs undertaker, chuck norris, the Yokozuna "body slam challenge"
all these things are going to be different to everyone, but if you look at it from an unbiased perspective...there was some rough stuff....but never an overall "bad" year
and im not even going to get into the attitude era, because without that, none of us would be watching wrestling today...those years DEFINED what we watch now, the changes that were made to the WWF in that time period were unlike anything....from Stone Cold to DX to the Rock to the Ministry and everything in between until the millenium hit...the Attitude era is why most of us are still interested.
the 2000's WWE era still had its fair share...the good: the invasion...the bad: the invasion. but i wont even go there. plus the Cena era, despite being hated by the IWC still kept vince's cash ROLLING in. plus the deaths & steroids are nothing but a dark cloud haning over paradise.
in closing, i have to say i dont think there has been a bad YEAR in the WWE's history. There have just been a plethora of bad moments, storylines, ideas, gimmicks, and skits but its those bad moments that we can all look back on, enjoy even more now, and make the great moments even better
thats my take...

I personally did not like 2004. I will gladly list my reasons, right.... NOW!
-Triple H was still always in the main event -Eugene took up WAY to much air time -Victoria was face (and jobbed to everyone... although that hasn't really changed other than the fact that she's heel) -Trish was heel... which, personally, I think she sucked at being -The diva search... 'nuff said
Also, 2007 was so utterly crappy.
However, I try to find the good in things, so, even though 2007 was crappy, I managed to be entertained (which sometimes resulted in me not watching the whole episode of raw.)

Oh without question, it's got to be 2007 by far. All the wrestling-related deaths and bad publicity wrestling was getting. It was certainly not good for the wrestling business, that's for sure.

The year(s) where Cena overcame the odds so many times that overcoming the odds equated to a clean Cena loss.

From the near 10 years of me first watching wrestling.. 2007 has got to be the worst.. sure there were years when wrestling wasnt good wrestling wise but 2007 had to many deaths and injuries and tragedies.. it just doesn't compare to anything else.

2007.
I don't watch anymore partly because of the events that took place that year.

'05 as far as programming goes. Then '07 as far as media attention goes.
