"The following information was from an exclusive interview from EMW Chairman, Eric Williamson.
It is very true, EMW is now an independent promotion, why you ask? It's because for many video promotions and pic feds, they pretty much use the same talent such as Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock, etc. To make it more realistic and to be more on our own, why not utilize the talent not in WWE or TNA currently such as Shane Douglas, Rob Van Dam, DDP and so many others. We also don't want to jsut have anyone, we want to make sure we have WRESTLERS, not superstars, that can wrestle and entertain the audience. We have done this before, but we want to take this seriously. Using talent not in your popular companies, also gives us more time to breathe and to even let our roster do a lot of more internet interaction with the fans. In closing, We have a scheduled live event in Elizabeth, NJ this week in which we will name champions there but don't worry, we will post up all the information right here on the EMW forum.
