-June 26th: One of the main events of ROH's return to Manassas, VA on 8/1 has been signed and it is a doozy. The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin will make a rare ROH appearance on that show. After defeating then ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe in Chicago, they want to get into title contention and get more ROH bookings. We already know they will face Kevin Steen & El Generico on 8/2 in Manhattan. Now on 8/1 they are not only wrestling one of ROH's best teams, but ROH's two aces. 8/1 in Manassas will have Shelley & Sabin vs. Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries!!! -While not officially confirmed, Kevin Steen made a challenge on Part 1 of the new video wire to Nigel McGuinness for a World Title Rematch when ROH debuts in Toronto, Canada on 7/25. Nigel accepted, so it'll be Kevin Steen vs. Nigel McGuinness for the ROH title on 7/25.

Awesome, wish I still lived in Virginia. Oh yeah and Kevin Steen is the man, he should be world champ eventually. Probably better as a heel though I think in that situation.

I haven't seen a ROH show since April of 2007...
MCMG is making me want to get back into ROH.. (Of course, the last ROH show I got, Good Times, Great Memories, was because of their match...., so) I'll have to find 8/1 and 8/2....
MAAAAYYYYBBBE 7/25 if... You know...

We regret to inform you that TNA has pulled Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (MCMG) from the 8/1 and 8/2 shows.. We are looking to book the matches again at a later date.....

I thought that Sabin and Shelley would be booked in singles matches instead of just doing tags. At some point they will, probably the reason behind the Shelley-Aries history buffing. I must say, please let Shelley wrestle in Edison. I've been to one TNA house show, and seven ROH events, and the closest I've been is Shelley showing for Ring of Homicide to make sure Lethal was there to replace him. (Against Nigel McGuinness for a Pure Title defense.) ....please bring Shelley, or the Machine Guns to Edison. They can face Rhett Titus and Pelle Primeau (...kidding), I don't care what it will take to do it. Lastly, Steenerico challenge for tag titles and win > Steen challenges for single's title and loses |

I am going to the Manassas show, and I am absolutely thrilled that they are booked against Team Work. That match is going to be nothing short of tremendous. I thought that Sabin and Shelley would be booked in singles matches instead of just doing tags. At this point, they've faced all the teams people care about in ROH: Briscoes, Age of the Fall, Team Work, and Steenerico. What's left? Lots of rematches? I don't think anybody gives a damn about MCMG vs. a combination of The Vulture Squad or Sweet N Sour Inc. So I think if they bring the MCMG back, they should have them in singles matches, or just do their third match against the Briscoes. |

I believe that MCMG/Vulture Squad could be pretty good. If it was nonstop spots it could be really good.
