Y'know, I think TNA may be the only promotion where I've ever seen people fight over physical possession of a title belt, but not the Championship for which it stands.

LOL, and that speaks volumes about the booking in this company! And keep in mind, at least one of the people involved in that Ultimate X match is actually the champ. But does anyone remember the main event of the 10/12/06 Impact?

will you please answer my ing question how does jobbing out your three most popular x division stars in ther signuter to wwe rejects and a no talent hack make any ing sense It's a ing storyline. You can't expect your favorites to go over in every match. 3D got a cheap win for the second month in a row, this time bringing an illegal weapon (ladder) into the Ultimate X. Obviously this is gonna culminate in a Full Metal Mayhem match, which I and many others have predicted months ago. Go masturbate to John Cena or whatever gets you off. TNA has SUCKED recently, everyone knows that. But watching it today, this was a "thumbs up" pay-per-view. IMO, TNA always has great PPVs. That's something they have the edge over WWE at the moment- quality PPVs. The problem is that most of the Impact shows suck, so nobody orders the PPVs..

Y'know, I think TNA may be the only promotion where I've ever seen people fight over physical possession of a title belt, but not the Championship for which it stands. It was done in WWE back in 1999 where Billy Gunn " won" Bradshaw's half of the Tag Team Title in a six-man tag( taking the physical belt with him), but " lost" it back to him the following week.

Because I've seen TNA do it twice.

I enjoyed the PPV overall. Team 3D/Devine winning makes sense & sets up another pPV match where the faces will win 7 everyone can be happy. I think 3D in their feud with the X-Division have been quality after sucking for last few years. The World title was a clash of styles but I thopught both men worked as hard as they could, can't ask for anymore really. Pleased AJ & Tomko retained & the Joe/Nash feud can begin, yeah match quality will be questionable but a top line scalp for Joe to get him nearer the freaking title. Tag title match was solid. I'm not mentiomning the women's or the mixed tag matches as just not a fan of women wrestling. Just can't get into it

TNA Final Resolution 2008
1. Hernandez & Homicide vs. Jimmy Rave & Lance Hoyt This was a fun little opener and an appropriate one at that. The match didn’t have much of a tag team formula at all, but seemingly did what it was put out to do, and that was get the crowd pumped up and ready for the show. They fit a lot into a short amount of time with a few nice, high-impact spots, including Hernandez’s Super Border Toss.
2. Kaz vs. Black Reign There wasn’t much to this match in terms of usefulness. I’m still baffled as to why Kaz, after having a relatively big push there for awhile is pushed down to this. Both wrestlers tried hard to put on something good, but not much could be done in their time span.
3. Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong (TNA Knockout's Title- No DQ match) Now this is women’s wrestling. There’s something about Awesome Kong that’s just soo fun to watch. She plays the monster role perfectly and compliments Gail Kim’s never-say-die persona quite well. I liked the transition of Gail this time oppose to their Turning Point match. Gail went full steam ahead at Kong knowing that the No DQ stipulation could benefit her here. Like last time, the booking was top notch and really had you into this match more than most women matches. Kim going over was a surprise and set up their Impact rematch very well. All around fun stuff to watch in this match.
4. Judas Mesias vs. Abyss I think this is a very fun feud with the right amount of potential if people buy into it. Judas Mesias is a fresh new character, not formally of WWE so he adds a new dimension. They teased the James Mitchell interference well on a few occasions. The use of the barbed wire for the finish made a great deal of sense headed into their match at Against All Odds. Thankfully Mesias went over, still making him seem like a threat to Abyss in terms of Abyss getting revenge on Mitchell.
5. Booker T & Sharmell vs. Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks I didn’t care for this match at all. Brooks and Sharmell served no purpose, other than for the finish and post-match segment. Roode’s offense was pretty boring with the match never getting to where it needed to be. It seemed more like a TV match than anything else. I have a feeling that Booker T and Roode will finally have a good match at Against All Odds which is something they need to make all of this mean something.
6. Brother Devon, Brother Ray & Johnny Devine vs. Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin & Jay Lethal (Ultimate X match) This match was a nice addition to this really fun on-going feud. Though this Ultimate X may not have been on par with many of its predecessors, it had a world of story that made it fun to watch. The dynamic of Team 3D not being able to scale the cables and using each other as tools for reaching the belt was tremendous. The other aspect of Shelley and Sabin not being able to climb the cables due to Team 3D targeting their hands played off well here. There were plenty of creative spots, which again, add to this entire ordeal that really seems to be working out well in terms of the storyline itself and the matches.
7. AJ Styles & Tomko vs. Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash (TNA World Tag Team Title) This match falls into what has been going on. A lot of it was overshadowed with Styles’ saga of making a decision between Christian and Angle. Joe did what he has been doing and that is doing what he can to make the match work. Nash didn’t offer a lot, but it all ended up going along with all Nash caring about is a payoff. After Nash walked off, I liked how it was teased that Joe may still have a chance at winning the belts by himself. I would assume that this is leading toward a Joe/Nash match down the road but stranger things have happened, stranger meaning TNA’s booking.
8. Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage (TNA World Heavyweight Title) This was a match that TNA needed to start off the new year. Everything was well-paced throughout the match, with both guys knowing what to do, exactly when to do it to pull the crowd in. The audience was undoubtedly pulling for Christian, as I simply believe they want a change. I was worried about the fact that both wrestlers were heels would affect the match, but Christian showing signs of being a babyface really helped things. The swerve and interference with Styles was actually a run-in that mattered and worked. Making everyone believe he was with Cage was brilliant, only to have him turn on him. All in all it was a really fun and finely booked match that surprisingly “outshined” Kong/Kim.
