Many in the company are supporting Samoa Joe as world champion to his face, but there are concerns behind the scenes. Many are questioning his drawing ability due to his look, which is not the traditional headlining physique. But with Kurt Angle out, TNA is drawing well for house shows and Joe is selling a lot of Polaroids after the shows. Not Kurt Angle level, but main event level with some of the others.

It has nothing to do with his look, it's the way he's booked. He's booked to be very, very generically boring.
Plus he got the title way too late, so most people simply didn't care.

well, it's not really his fault. It's obvious that TNA is building each impact around the whole Kurt/AJ feud. Fans could care less about what's going on with Joe right now, because it's almost like nothing gets accomplished with him each week. We're right where we were a month ago, with Joe and Nash fighting and arguing about how to win matches. No one cares anymore.

Joe is quickly becoming TNA's version of the Big Show...even when he's the Champ, he's not the focus of the show.

The problem is he has a different look but is booked like every other generic champion with a built physique. The guy was designed to be a "take names now ask questions later" bad ass... not a "negotiate contract now be paranoid about mentor's intentions later" cry baby. It's like if Vince booked Steve Austin as honorable and respectful back during the attitude era...
Not to mention this AJ/Angle feud has completely overshadowed his reign... it is 100% TNA's clueless booking, imo.

c'mon let's face it. karen angle has been overshadowing aj, kurt and joe combined....that's one of they're glaring problems right now.

He needs to be booked like he was in 2005. A ing beast exactly,but TNA are totally oblivious to there own problems. As soon as we say things like that-were described as smart mark fans from the IWC,thus meaning we cant possibly be correct  |

Joe is being booked like....well....like....ummm.....exactly. There isnt anything to describe it. You cant even call it boring. Boring is something you have zero interest in watching. Yet most of us still have an insterest in watching Joe. There is still some curiosity to Joe/Nash. But there isnt enough for people to want to eat up like AJ/Angle. Joe's a babyface that does heelish things, but not like Stone Cold heel......more like ass hole heel.

Just face it, and open your eyes people....Joe just don't have what it takes to be BIG! He's had the belt, and it didn't do anything for him. It isn't the booking; its him. He may be a good wrestler, but he's a piss poor performer.

Typically wrestling promotions will look to the champions when ratings drop but in this case, I would say that it isn't Joe.. it is how he is being booked though I will say that this fued with Booker depending might actually do some good for the company as a whole. I personally am liking the way TNA tv has gone the last couple of weeks.
