I'll be heading to the Flea Market in a while to check out some N64 Games, to buy a SNES, a NES and a Genesis. I wanted to buy from eBay, but my credit card holder (older brother) doesn't want to. I have four games for N64 right now (No Mercy, BK, Paper Mario and SM64), and I will probably look for Banjo-Tooie, and some other games. I was wondering though, what prices are good? I heard of people at Flea Markets selling stuff way overpriced, using that "it's like fine wine, they don't make it anymore" excuse, and ripped people off by selling N64 games for 60$ a pop. My question is, should I bother with games around a 20-40$ price range, or should I wait until my brother decides to use eBay? Also... I need some good arguments as to why I'll need eBay. Seemingly, saying "stuff 4 cheep, jeez itz EZ!" kind of turns him off.

It REALLY depends on the game. The older gaming market is very fickle. Pass up most anything NES wise that's over 20 bucks, it's 9 times out of 10 not worth it unless it's something bizarre like Samurai Pizza Cats or Tengen Tetris. There are some rare examples. Same with SNES and Genesis games. The market is usually judged by what's hot at the them and in demand. After Starcraft II was announced, the price for Starcraft 64 shot up. When Conker reloaded came out, Conker's Bad Fur day went up for some reason. Super Metroid is on the VC and it's demand went down slightly. Earthbound hasn't been available in the US since the SNES days, and it's price is ridiculous.
YES, there are some games that are worth good chunks of money, like Final Fantasy titles, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Super Metroid, but you could probably easily decipher what would be considered a "sound investment" in terms of price since it's pretty easy to know what's the rarer titles and not. Also, I don't even think there is an N64 game out there worth more than 20 bucks if it's used. If it's still in package, there are some that can bring in some good change, though.
If a person uses that excuse, or isn't willing to budge in the slightest, don't bother, they are usually trying to rip you off and it really isn't worth it.

Thanks, I'll make sure to look around for more popular and common titles. Hopefully those shouldn't be too expensive. One game though, in particular "Goemon's Great Adventure", is really hard to find ever since my dad came back from the US with that game in hand around the very late 90s... hopefully I find that, I'd be willing to pay 60$.

You should look if you have any Play "N' Trade store's near you. They sell old game's at reasonable price's. About a week ago I got Banjo Tooie for $8 dollar's. although some game's are a bit high. Like Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Cost $20.00!

I went to a Pawn Store today, and they had tons of N64 games. Some prices were ranging from 2.99 to 11.99
I got myself WCW/nWo Vs the World, WWF No Mercy, Goldeneye, and WCW/nWo Revenge for like 25 bucks. It's pretty sweet. Just check out a Pawn Store/Hock Shop.
