Controversy creates a rematch. Most likely this is far from over.
Me, personally, I take everything in stride because it was a super-close fight and at the end I could see both men winning.
For now, all we can do is respect the judge's decisions and hope that a rematch happens sooner rather than later.

Oh yea, and once again Forrest takes out a Pride guy. ;D ;D - Iron Heart Please don't start with that... Honest to god, this PRIDE hatred is just so unwarranted. I disagree. For years fans who liked UFC over Pride were often ripped apart by Pride fans because the organisation they preferred had the superior talent. It's just nice to see that both groups had quality fighters.

I disagree. For years fans who liked UFC over Pride were often ripped apart by Pride fans because the organisation they preferred had the superior talent. It's just nice to see that both groups had quality fighters. The most important thing is that Fedor was the best fighter in the world. Which he was. And still is. Forrest got his ass kicked by Keith Jardine. What happened to Keith Jardine? Oh yeah, destroyed by a "PRIDE guy." So if you want to go based completely on who the best fighter is at a given weight class, I think it's still pretty safe to say that the best LHW's in the world were in PRIDE and (obviously) the best HW's in the world were in PRIDE. I never gave anyone crapfor liking UFC or PRIDE, because both companies had amazing talent.

Griffin rebounded from the Jardine TKO and choked out Shogun, though.
That said, a UFC/PRIDE flame war is just so unwarranted and unnecessary nowadays.
It's just pointless to keep arguing about two companies when one of the companies no longer exists and was purchased by the other company.
To the PRIDE guys, PRIDE had a great legacy but some of the fans were admittedly elitist. But that is true in virtually any field of sports. By rejecting the mainstream ala choosing PRIDE over UFC, eventually that grows a feeling of elitism in some and that elitism led to a lot of "You're not a fan of MMA if you choose UFC over PRIDE" arguments that degenerated into nitpicking and name calling. This is not true of all the fans, but the winning team usually only remembers the flaws of their opponents and doesn't like to admit that PRIDE was a damn good organization while it lasted.
To the UFC guys, it's very simple. UFC won. Game over, PRIDE is dead and all its assets belong to Zuffa. While some may get a morbid fun out of kicking a guy when he's down, I really don't think there's any point in kicking a guy when he's dead. Let's not be sore winners here.

Griffin rebounded from the Jardine TKO and choked out Shogun, though. Agreed. The thing people forget is Forrest is still learning alot of things in MMA because he is still young. He doesn't have years behind him like a Jardine or Wanderlei or Liddell.
