Just air Nitro at a different time than RAW? I know his goal was to take viewers away from RAW when he started Nitro back in September of 95, but think about it, if he wouldn't have aired Nitro at the same time, all the viewers that he lost to RAW would have watched Nitro (or at least a lot of them would have). Do you think Bischoff should have just aired Nitro at a different time?

This should go in the Classic board and Eric and Ted apparently thought that there show was better then RAW and plus they wanted the WWF at the time it was called to go out of bussines not just two wrestling shows on the same night.

Is it sad, that when i was watching Raw, I thought back to the days of popular WCW. Not for any 'big storyline purposes' but how they presented 'jobbers'. Everytime they would return from commercial break, there would be two 'nobodies' in the ring kicking each others ass for no reason, no one cared about them at all..they were just there. I miss that Every new guy in WWE has to have something about him to make him stand out when he's nothing special.

I agree with the first poster this should go in the classic section. its okay mistakes happen. Anyways bro I believe that he should have changed the air time after Raw started beating in the ratings. Perhaps this would have saved them....but then again Nothing and I mean nothing is safe from Vince Russo

If you are trying to get viewers to watch your show instead of another one at the same time slot, You would not get more viewers because you could watch Raw AND Nitro but if it is on the same time slot then you have the choice to make which one you would rather watch.

Bischoff was very smart on this part. You cant have competition if you are aired on different nights (WWE/TNA). You have to go up and smack the other person in the mouth. That is exactly what WCW did. Raw was a pre taped event which at first really wasnt that entertaining. Nitro went live and an hour early. Giving away results (for the most part) making viewers want to NOT turn the channel over to Raw....The Foley deal the only time it hurt them, even I turned cause I was like "No way they let that loser win the title" Without Bisch taking Nitro head to head they would have remained a small "southern company" that they were seen as. Going head to head with Raw really made them a BIG TIME company. The only thing that killed WCW was AOL/Time Warner....Bisch, Flair, Hogan, Sting, Luger and Russo were all innocent of this deal honestly. Think of it this way, the powerball lottery is up to $20 Million right now, AOL/Time Warner wanted rid of it so bad they sold it to McMahon for $2 Million, a deal was set for Bisch to buy WCW but AOL/Time Warner again steps in and wont allow WCW to be aired on Turner Stations, thus making the deal mute since there is no way to show the company. If AOL/Time Warner would have waited it out and given Bisch time, Bisch had Fusient Media and around $50 Million to purchase WCW and Bisch wanted to find a station (FOX) to air WCW but AOL/TW sold it out from underneath him basically
