Not that Attitude Era discussion isn't allowed...but further discussion may result in moving this thread to the Classic board.

Do you think if the name change never took place that the Additude Era would still be around? Or even if it ended do you think if it was still/or if they could go back to being the WWF we would have a much better product? I know some of you will probly say how would a name afect the overall product, but some of you may know that a name is very vitail to a brand/product. I think now that we are the WWE there alot more soap opraish story lines example being edge and vickys wedding (not say there wasnt soap opraish story lins in the F) but we can honistly say we had alot more talented wrestling durring the World WRESTLING Federation. so anyone eles think this? Too much time on your hands!!!!

Well thats b.c you never got to experiance the RAW (no pun intended)ness of the WWF No. I've watch a few episode's of Raw from the 90's. I just prefer WWE. How?

No. I've watch a few episode's of Raw from the 90's. I just prefer WWE. How? WWE on demand, old PPV, And Video's/DVD's. but if you mean WHY do I prefer WWE over WWF. That is because I started watching wrestling AFTER the name change.

Watching the WWF on tape now is not the same thing as actually experiencing it as it was happening. The Attitude era was incredible and, not to attack you personally or anything, but if you weren't around to experience it, than you will never know why so many people feel so nostalgic about it.

ive seen both and i think they both have advantages and disadvantages. WWF had better writers and storylines while WWE has much better performers, Id take Cena over Austin any day

No. The name change didn't change the product. It's always been entertainment.

The Attitude Era had been over for at least a year before the name changed.

The Attitude Era died before the name change. As far as I'm concerned the Attitude Era died the night after Wresltemania 17, that night the Rock began his filming career and took his first long hiatus, the WCW/ECW storyline began to develop, SCSA and McMahon were working together and stars from WCW began showing up. Basically the brand began to lose it's identity.

Dont blame the name for the quality of WWE..The fact is..Were just older now..And that makes everything different..

Get the "F' out! Since I started watching in early 2004 I kinda like the WWE name more. WWE sounds like crap compared to WWF.
