Amazing ing movie, one of my favorites of all time. And for me to like a movie like that, it takes alot. Two face is definitely alive and kicken and will be in the next one. There wasnt really a bad part to that whole movie, and Joker was just amazing. Two Face definatly isn't coming back, they had a public funeral for Harvey. How much time do you guys think has passed in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight? I would say about a year even though Gordon's son seemed to have aged about 5 years.

Oh, forgot the add. The part that upset me is wanting SO BAD for another Batman movie, but doesn't look like it'll continue. Unless (whats his face from 3rd Rock From The Sun) takes on the Joker and Two-Face is alive. But still, doesn't seem like he is. Maybe the Riddler? I wouldn't mind it.
Personally, I think they should re-do them all and do all these villians justice. Keep Gotham dark, not flashy lights and freak shows. Do Freeze a good way, bring in Robin again. With Bale being fairly young, this could go on for quite a few more films.

Quick question:
Is Scarecrow dead? He was on the boats as Dr. Crane, but is the Scarecrow character dead?
Overall it was an AMAZING movie. As people have already said, Ledger stole the show as the Joker. Like some other people mentioned, The Joker was very funny and also just perfect for the role. I really was skeptical when they had casted him for the role, but he really did his homework on the role. I cannot imagine how anybody who got so into character could get out of the Joker character easily. If Heath was really living in an apartment by himself, and studying psycotic characters from older movies or books, there is no wonder why he had a difficult time getting out of character.
The movie itself is easily the movie of the summer for me. The best Batman movie yet. I could see them doing another Batman, but I would be okay if they didn't. I also think that Eckharts character was overshadowed by the overwhelming performance of Heath Ledger. Both actors did a phenominal job at the villians they portrayed.
Overall I would give it a: 10/10 If you are even thinking of seeing it. GO SEE IT!

I caught the midnight showing lastnight, and just loved it. I've been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid (I'm 25 now), so I always look forward to these movies. I was pumped for the Joker, as most were. Clearly, as a Batman fan, I was excited due to him being Batman's best rival, but I'm also really into psychotic, serial killer type characters, so turning Joker into something along those lines really excited me.
As for the movie, it was everything I wanted it to be. Joker did kill a lot of people, and he was funny. Not intentionally funny, but there was just something about the way he acted that made you laugh. Little parts, like when he's asking for his phone call and talking to the cop before he breaks out of the interrogation room, and just over-all not serious he was talking himself and the whole destruction he was causing. It was all fun to him, but he never came off as overly campy or "jokey", like Nicholson's Joker seemed. This was just a sick, twisted person who happened to wear clown make-up. I loved how he looked. He didn't look like a clown, he looked like a worn down, messy, crazy person. I just loved everything about him. Going into it, the worst part, for me, was going to be watching Joker die, and watching it, he became the last person I wanted to see something bad happen to. So his ending was perfect for me, as they really showed the connection between him and Batman and set them up for further battles. I just really like the mental connection between the two, and it's kind of sad to see that they let the character live, likely in hopes to continue their story, and Ledger isn't around to carry it on. I can't add anything to what's been said about Ledger's performance, it was simply amazing.
I loved the whole story. It wasn't as much a superhero movie as it was a very intense crime story with twists, turns, drama and dirty cops. Perfect. The action was great, the story was flawless. Bruce Wayne playing the cocky billionaire worked great, as well as when he was alone and showed up vulnerable he was on the inside. The Rachel/Bruce/Dent storyline was good, as well as her eventual death, plus I really got to like Dent as a character.
At first I thought it was a bit of a waste for Two-Face to appear with only about 40 minutes left and end up dead at the end (if he's dead). But, thinking about it, I think Dent's story leading to him becoming Two Face is a better story than a whole movie of just Two Face. I was kind of tired of his act by the end of it anyway. He flips a coin and shoots people? Ok, that worked in this movie, but a whole movie of it might get old. But I liked how, at heart, Dent was a good guy, he was just drove insane by what happened to him and Rachel. But his evil side was very evil. Just really good story telling.
Oh, and the ending. I liked it. Joker lives, and I liked Batman becoming "The Dark Knight", the anti-hero that at heart really is a hero. The manhunting Batman storyline could make for a great 3rd movie, but with no Joker, really how can they top this one? All the major villans are gone, and Batman lives to fight crime and try to avoid being hunted by cops. They could make a 3rd with that storyline, but if they left it as is, it works. Really, the only thing left open was Joker, but again, with no Ledger, it might be best to leave it be.

what happened to the joker at the end of the movie? He was dangling from a roof, the swat team came out and pointed guns at him. It's implied he's on his way to Arkham.

So, What are everyone's favorite Joker moments? Mine would have to be when he's in the nurses outfit and he sits down by Harvey's bed LOL or when he's leaving Harvey's room and uses the hand sanitizer..... This is seriously one of the greatest characters in movie history... Such a shame Heath is gone

Not to sound redundant, but I loved pretty much every scene the Joker was in.

Such a shame Heath is gone That's one of my favs too, but there's lots of them, so I'll name a few that had me rolling with laughter. When he invades Bruce's party for Harvey, Batman shows up and starts kicking some ass and then Joker grabs one of his henchmen and uses him as a shield. Another one good one was, just as Batman spins out on his bike, Joker walks over and straddles an unconscious Batman with his knife in hand and then Gordon bursts onto the scene just before he gets arrested he says something like "C'mon just give me a couple more minutes". OH and when he slides down the big pile of cash that he worked so hard to get, just to set it on fire because he cares more about being evil than rich - that was funny.

To me the funniest Joker moment was the one quick shot of him after Gamble said something like "So you think you can steal from us and that's okay?" and he let's out that simple childlike "Yeah." That, the magic trick, and the one phone call were my top three Joker moments.

I was a big fan of how The Joker would tell everyone a different story about how he got his scars. It kept the character shrouded in mystery and never fully revealed who he was or where he came from.

The lying was the best part. He was so childlike it made him pretty creepy.
And the simple "No I'm not.....I'm not". Just the way he said it. Perfection.

Not to sound redundant, but I loved pretty much every scene the Joker was in. Me too, I had a huge smile on my face whenever he showed up again. The ones that stood out to me: When those guys carried him in a garbage bag saying they killed him, but Joker pops out, and makes those 3 guys fight to the death where the last one alive gets to join him. Also when he said "hi" so calmly in the hospital.

When we first meet the Joker is one of my favorite scenes. Henchman: I'm betting the Joker told you to kill me soon as we loaded the cash. The Joker: No, no, no, no. I kill the bus driver. Henchman: Bus driver? What bus driver?
